I couldn’t stop listening!!!

Wow. I could not put this book down (I only did when I was forced to go to work and/or for wifey duties).

This was a romantic suspense novel that I had noooo idea I needed but so glad I had the chance to read!!!

I actually had so much anxiety during the high stress sections of the books and if that doesn’t speak highly of the authors abilities, I don’t know what does!!! They blew me away!!!!

Gemma & Tyler are reunited YEARS later after tyler gets released from prison (after being falsely convicted) and goes back to his home town in Alabama. What he left behind was a girl who was head over heels for him, but he came back to a woman who was engaged to be married.

The story twisted and turned and I absolutely LOVED IT. The audiobook was great and the voice narrators fit the characters SO WELL. It also gave me fall vibes so it was just all around wonderful!!!!!

Emotional second chance romance

I recently listened to Only Him by Kennedy Fox and loved it. Narrated by Lia Langola and Tor Thom, they brought Tyler and Gemma to life for me. This was a best friend’s older brother second chance romance. Tyler and Gemma have known each other for a long time and share chemistry and a connection. When they were younger there was something there, but life happened and took them down different paths. Years later, so much has happened and he is back in town and the feelings are still there.

Tyler was caring and protective. Gemma was kind and determined. They faced so many obstacles together. As they reconnect, they cannot deny what they feel for each other. Their journey was emotional, touching, and slow burning. I was captivated from start to finish.

Heartfelt, second chance, exciting slow burn

Absolutely fell in love with Tyler and Gemma.
Not going to lie when I 1st started the book I was put off by the age gap. I'm not into teen older man relationships. Lucky the time jump helped me get past my bias and I really enjoyed this slow burn, small town, second chance romance.
If you're looking for a face paced, well written, slow burn romance look no further!
Side note I loved getting to peak in on Liam and Maddie's life.

5 Just As Good the second Time Around Stars!!

I didn’t realize how much I missed Tyler and Gemma until I listened to their story narrated fabulously by Lia Langola and Tor Thom. I could once again feel the heartfelt emotions that Tyler and Gemma felt for each other. Their feelings from when they first met was so prevalent when they once again meet after Tyler is released from jail although not necessarily as strong for one of them as the other.

The suspense of this story is brought beautifully to life thanks to the amazing narration. Once again, like I was when I was reading their story, I was on the edge of my seat. So many moments of hurt that Gemma felt for Tyler and now that he’s out of prison and wants to be back in her life, she’s not sure that it’s what’s best for her and her son. With every encounter they have their emotions are brought through thanks to Lia and Tor. As the story progresses, and there are these jaw dropping happenings in this small town I found myself reluctant to stop listening to the book. I just had to re-experience how Tyler and Gemma’s love grows strong again. And when the bomb is dropped on the who’s and what’s going on, I gasped out loud. Because it’s just as shocking this time around. Needless to say, once Tyler and Gemma admit their love for each other, nothing and no one will keep them from each other. And that’s why you need to listen to this book… you’ll be gobsmaked too and won’t want to stop listening to see how everything comes full circle.!!

Loved Tyler and Gemma

Loved this second chance/best friend’s older brother/slow-burn romance. This was previously a duet but now is a full book with no cliffhangers in the Only One series. Tyler and Gemma were such a great couple. When he was in the military, they were pen pals but wanted to be much more. When they had the chance to see where it would go, he was sent away and after 12 years he is back in town. She is now engaged to a man who she is not sure that she really wants to marry and he is working at her dad’s garage so they are around each other more and more. The more they are around each other the more their feelings come back to the surface. Loved their romance so much. A slow-burn romance done well. Tor Thom and Lia Langola have brought life to the wonderful characters that Kennedy Fox created. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Such a great story!

Tyler and Gemma's story is a roller coaster ride to say the least!

Honestly my emotions were all over the damn place. It's been 12 years since they were around one another. Gemma has always been in love with Tyler, but as the novel progresses you get to see how the choices he made years ago changed her. I really loved that you see them reconnect and I was waiting for that shoe to drop, because in any Kennedy Fox fashion... drama will happen!

This story was so fast paced, the narration was amazing and definitely had me laughing out loud in some moments! The slow burn between Tyler & Gemma had me going crazy, but it was so worth it in the end! Highly recommend!

Heartfelt and Exciting!

AH!!! I have been impatiently waiting for Tyler's story since he appeared in Liam and Maddie's story in the Roommates series, and Kennedy Fox did not disappoint! This story stands on its own, but it is set 5 years after Tyler gets out of prison for helping Liam and Maddie. So if you know that backstory, it helps but it is not necessary because the important parts are all defined. (But Liam and Maddie were a great duet, so go read that one if you have the chance!)

The authors do a great job of nailing all the angst both Tyler and Gemma feel with their unresolved feelings. They only dated for about 3 months nearly 12 years ago, but neither one of them had any closure when Tyler left town to see what else was out there, and leaving her has always been his biggest regret. But Gemma is now engaged to be married -- but as soon as Tyler returns, it is clear that her fiance isn't the one she is meant to be with.

Tor Thom and Lia Langola brilliantly narrated this story, bringing Tyler and Gemma to life. This story was initially published as a duet, but repackaged as one single book. When the original cliffhanger happens, the next chapter just picks up, so there's no waiting to see what happens next anymore. And after reading the story the first time around as a duet, I loved getting to hear that all go down with these two narrators seamlessly continuing the drama.

It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows for Tyler and Gemma to get to their HEA. But the way that this story wound around with Tyler's ex-boss Victoria and Gemma's fiance was nothing like I was expecting it to be! Everything about this story was great. I didn't feel like I was left hanging with any of the plot points, and the twists totally grabbed my attention and had me rushing to get to the next chapter. Well done!

Small Town Angsty Romantic Suspense!

If there’s one thing Kennedy Fox knows how to do it’s making you hungry for more.
From the moment there was even a hint of a story with Tyler I was immediately desperate for it. Like a bloodhound I was on the trail for Tyler and his much deserved happily ever after. I greedily lapped up every second of their story. Going in, I expected it to be a sweet and slow second chance with emotion weaved in while I watched Tyler do everything in his power to get his forever woman. But, Kennedy Fox decided that nice and easy was not the road they were taking with these two. I was unprepared for the tumultuous roller coaster of a ride that was Tyler and Gemma. It’s a wonder my jaw isn’t permanently on the floor with the bombshells dropped. Tyler truly lived up to the man I had come to know and love...a guy who would stop at nothing to protect the woman he loved and it was a beautiful thing.

Tor Thom and Lia Langola made for the perfect Tyler and Gemma! Their performance enhanced every feel this story had.

The narrators have you captivated from the beginning and they're very easy to listen to.
Gemma and Tyler meet again in their small home town 12 years after Tyler left them both heartbroken. Even after all that time apart, their connection is still intense. Will they ever get the happy ever after they have always wanted? Expect lots of twists, revenge, family, passion, friendship, love, laughter and more throughout. Enjoy!

Gemma & Tyler’s book is a slow burn romance filled with twists and turns I was not expecting half the time but it ends with the sweetest HEA.
Lia Longola & Tor Thom are a brilliant narrating duet. Hearing Tor saying the word that starts with f is the sexiest thing.

Amazing 2nd Chance Romance! Great Story & Listen🎧

Kennedy Fox never ceases to amaze me, they create multilayered stories that grab your attention and your heartstrings and hold them hostage their entire book. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they are easy to care about and even fall for. “Only Him” is Tyler and Gemma’s story and it is a beautifully written second chance romance. Gemma always crushed on her friend, Everleigh’s, older brother, and when he enlisted in the Army, she wrote him and he wrote her back. He returns home four years later and they spend the summer together before he ups and leaves and breaks her heart. His life did not go as planned, he got in with the wrong people and wound up in prison, when released he returns to his hometown to start over and was lucky to get a job at the local car repair shop, owned by Gemma’s father. It took years for Gemma to move on from Tyler and she finally found someone to move on with and is engaged to him. She was not expecting to see Tyler ever again and definitely not expecting to be working with him at her father’s shop. She has been second guessing her feeling for her fiancé, Robert, and seeing Tyler again reminds her of what love really feels like. I loved how everything plays out in this book, it was great watching Gemma and Tyler trying to coexist and navigate a friendly work relationship without stirring up old feelings and how they really felt about each other, since she was engaged. But not is all it seems with her fiancé and then Tyler’s not so distance past comes back to haunt him. A lot goes on in this book, and there is never a dull moment. It is a wonderfully written and plotted story with plenty of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions, some twists and turns, thrilling suspense and a slow burn, second chance romance. Kennedy Fox, thank you for another wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

Lia Langola and Tor Thom did an amazing job portraying these characters, giving each a voice that suited their character’s persona to a tee and were believable in every role they played. Tor Thom’s Tyler was spot on, he grasped all sides of his personality, and Lia Langola did the same for Gemma. Both were great voicing the secondary characters as well. They sent the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance, having you feel every single one. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another wonderful listen.
