How does God want to use you to have an impact?

Most of us don't want to spend our lives being time-wasters, space-takers, binge-watchers, or game-players. We want to be difference-makers. But how do we do it?

By revealing the way Jesus valued people, bestselling author Kyle Idleman shows us the Jesus way of changing the world—by loving people one at a time.

Influencing just one person at a time may seem insignificant at first look. But as we better understand the surprising habits of Jesus, we unlock the power of small things done with great love and discover how God wants to use us to change the world one person at a time.

I absolutely loved this book. One at a time! We can totally make a difference if we just take the time to make time for each other.

Love like Jesus

Needed this. Spot on. I love the way Idleman has a way of teaching the word, encouraging and challenging his listeners, and uses practical examples of speaking to others about Christ.

This whole book was phenomenal. A simple concept to be reminded of, but so overwhelmingly needed. But the last chapter. The last story…I’m ending the book broken and convicted and humbled. May we begin to love like Jesus one at a time.

The Last Chapter

My husband and I ministered in a local church in FL for the better part of 40 years. His journey completed in March of 2018 and he was greeted by Jesus. Four weeks later my mom also went home to see Jesus and 50 weeks after her my dad as well. I tell you this not for sympathy but to say that I wasn’t sure what or how God wanted to use me now. My parents lived on our property so as my husband grew weaker and passed my time was then spent helping my dad take care of my mom in here final days. He was diagnosed shortly after her passing with cancer so there were doctor appointments and treatments to get him to. He passed in April of 2019 and I was able to keep myself busy in food services that our church was now paying me to do. As we all know, daily life as we knew it, came to a screeching came to a screeching haunt in March of 2020. It wasn’t until then, in the quietness of that season that I realized I had run so hard and so fast from one loss through the next I had never stopped to face any of those hurts! While my faith was sustaining me, I was no longer ‘ministering’ to people. The void I felt was staggering! I knew if I was still breathing God still had purpose for me and work to do. But what now, LORD? Your words of encouragement have helped see a path that is doable for me as a single person with more time but with a few health limitations. I can and will continue to serve people through food and fellowship. I can’t lift heavy pots and pans any more to do food services for 300+ at church dinners on Wednesday nights but I can make a pot of soup and take some to another widow, one at a time! Or to a mom working full time outside the home and can’t always get it all done.
Thank you!!
And in true Dave Stone fashion, Kyle, I live in FL do you know Jake Gibbs? 😂😂😂 He and his wife are good friends and a are leading one of the church plants from here. Thank you for your input into their lives! And mine too…as well as many others! Blessings, Jan

Highly relatable. Kyle did an excellent job of reinforcing how awesome it is to have the opportunity to share God’s love in each and every part of my day.

We can make a difference.
