Publisher's summary

Brice Henderson traded everything for power and success. His company was closing a deal that would cement his spot at the top. The last thing he needed was a distraction from the past. Lena Razzi had spent years trying to forget Brice Henderson. When offered the opportunity of a lifetime, would she take the risk even if the price would be another broken heart?

One White Lie

What did you like best about this story?

Brice and Lena are a great couple. I love that they find each other again.

Which character – as performed by Robin Rowan – was your favorite?

I like them all :)

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I love to just sit and enjoy reading, but having it on audio allows me to listen while I'm working and doing other things. The best of both worlds

Any additional comments?

Lena Razzi has a secret, and when she is hired to be a temporary executive assistant it is an answer to her prayers and a great opportunity, but finding out that her old boyfriend Brice Henderson is her new boss threatens to expose the secret that she has guarded so closely.

Love Brice and Lena as a couple and this series is really neat. Jeannette makes reading her stories like coming to visit friends you don't see that often and I can't wait to visit them again.

There are three authors working together and writing stories that interact.

Find a better narrator.

Good story line . Pity the narrator seemed to ignore punctuation marks and garbled her way through it.

Horrible Narrator!

What disappointed you about One White Lie?

I could not get past the second chapter because the narrator's voice was like fingernails on a chalkboard. The female voice sounded like a 60 year old woman trying to sound like a child and the male's voice was whiny. Ugh! Who cares if the story is good or not if you can't get past that annoying narration?

Has One White Lie turned you off from other books in this genre?

I'll make a note of the narrator and never listen to another book read by her.

What didn’t you like about Robin Rowan’s performance?

Why is this person performing professionally? Really - why?

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from One White Lie?

I don't know. I couldn't get past the second chapter.

Any additional comments?

I'd rather listen to a college professor drone on incessantly about history than listen to another book performed by this narrator.

Voice acting was terrible

The story itself was entertaining. The narration was terrible. Especially Leena’s voice. All the women spoke in fake whispering voices that I found demeaning to the characters. It was also difficult to tell when one of the characters was having thoughts or dialogue. The men had angry and forceful voices that was not necessarily called for in the dialogue. I will be avoiding books narrated by Robin Rowan

Poor narration

Story line was ok, but narration made Lena sound weak and was distracting to me. I ended up reading the book instead of listening

hard to listen to Narrator

Story was ok. Basic and familiar story line, but the Narrator was awful. Hard to distinguish what was a thought from actual dialog and the voices for men and women were cartoonish and irritating to listen to. If she had done the character voices like her own 'narration' parts, it may have been easier to listen to.

Bad Narrator

I couldn't finish it because the narrator made the female sound like a little girl and the male sound like a spoiled brat.

I gave the story a 3 because I didn't finish due to the bad narrator
