Narrator great at dialogue

There have been a number of negative reviews on the narration of this series. I agree with another reviewer who suggested to stay with this audiobook past the third chapter. The first three chapters establish the world Ladew created. The narration begins robotic, but what I noticed from the very beginning is that robotic tone is not present in the character dialogue. Actually, Pauley's narration of dialogue is very good, particularly with all the different male voices. At the writing of this review, there are 10 books in this series. The concern with the first few chapters of the first book is not present at all in the other books. It would be a shame to miss out on the wonderful world Ladew created based on a such a small part of the series.

One of the best series I've read! the only thing I had an issue with was the narrator was sometimes monotone and drove me crazy

found a new favorite author!!! This series was so addictive. I couldn't stop and I can't wait to start the next bundle. amazing characters, strong female lead, and a perfect adventure. what an incredible world that she has created. looking forward to reading more by Lisa.

I loved this series. can't wait to read what happens next. if they beat Kane if the other shifters find there mates. it's nice to think that true love really does happen.

Fresh and deliciously exciting

I like the characters very much. Each one’s back story is credible and wonderfully fleshed out. My only criticism is that the character, Crew, has a distinct north-eastern accent. For a character that was born and raised in the middle west, it makes NO sense that he would speak with such a thick New York/Eastern accent! Except for the accent, he was portrayed very well.

great story line. the more series you read, the more you understand the story as it unfolds.
so far I love all of them.
Trevor- is sweet
Graeme- sexy and annoying but you love him and his fire
Crew- (Probably my favorite) is cool and has a way about him that makes you hold your legs tight together
Breckett- is country and sweet. I liked him.
All the women in hear are calm, sweet, and very understanding.
can't wait to read the next series. I'm curious about Mac, Troy, Trent.

liked the story. good distraction. narrator a bit hard to listen to at times.

Give it a chance

When I first started this series, the narrator was so stilted like a robot. When he’s in character he has good voice inflection, so I stayed with it. As each book progressed, his performance was better and better. I like him now.

The story line is simple, easy to listen to while doing other tasks. While it’s not as meaty as some of the reading I prefer, the characters are endearing. I was happy to discover there are six additional books to the series. I became invested enough to want to see each of the males find their one true mate.
