This is the fourth contribution to the author series that's titled "Collected Poems for Various Occasions". The content is similar to the others in that the poems are grouped in the categories of General or Various Subjects, Love, Old Testament and New Testament Inspirations, and General Christian subjects. The author is a retired Christian preacher and has been writing serious poetry since the 1980s. One distinctive feature of this work is the fact that he has finally published some of those early poems from the 1980s and 1990s. The author's goal in writing poetry is to help the reader see beyond the surfaces of ordinary life and discover and appreciate what lies beneath all that.
