A few nuggets

There seemed to be a lot of talk about Stephen's success that dragged on much longer than necessary through the beginning of the book. I was tempted to skip forward, but was afraid I might miss a bit of useful info he snuck in somewhere. When he finally did give resources and advice, it was worth the listen. There is a bit of repetition and fluff to sort through which made the book much longer than necessary. The heavy hitting info starts around the middle of the book and continues to the end. I will recommend it to friends because the info he gives is very helpful. It just requires a bit of patience to get to it.

One of the most useful and practical audiobooks but

The content and narration are top notch. The tips are highly practical. However, the audio chapters don't match the book/narrator. This is very frustrating. In the middle of an audio chapter you would have a new book chapter beginning. 2 minutes after an audio chapter begins a book chapter ends. The narrator would refer to chapter 16 which is audio chapter 18. This drove me insane. There ought to be an invention to match the audio chapters with book chapters, Stephen?

Overrated and exaggerated

After being an Inventright student for OVER 8 YEARS, I can tell you this system is deeply flawed, outdated and incomplete.

His system has barely been updated at the core since I started the system about a decade ago. At that time the SAME IDEAS came in a photocopied binder

It's a great introduction, and has many good ideas for beginners, but fails about 99% of the time in the REAL WORLD.

A more accurate title would be "License one out of every 100 simple ideas."

Accurate, but only touches the surface.

The book is well read and easy to understand. The steps and information make sense. However there is little detail with regard to HOW to do certain things that are suggested. A good example is that I expected a step by step guide to filing a professional patent with locations and names of forms. Having said that, I do have many notes on other areas he touches on.

Good info, too much bragging on himself

Overall, the book has good advice... eventually. This book does have a lot of good valuable information and if your looking to invent products, wether you intend to license or manufacture and distribute yourself, I still recommend this book. Just get past all the fluff. I had to skip over the first few chapters because it was all self promoting, bragging and “I will teach you how to...”. Even after all that, there was lots of repeated experiences or successes he has had. The book could have definitely been condensed, more organized and too the point and in doing so, would likely cut the length of the book almost in half.

More Encouragement than Education

Excellent performance, but golden nuggets of how-to information are mired in a repetitive sales pitch. Constantly references other works by the author or the author's mentorship program. Also there's a claim of "more than twenty" license contracts obtained by the author, but only about 3 are mentioned by name in the book (and not with much detail).

You should definitely give this a listen, but it's an addition to your licencing library, not the cornerstone.
