Publisher's summary

Julian Grayson is taking a break...from his cheating fiancée...from his band...from his life in the spotlight.

Charlotte Clark is devoted to her work...to save the world...to help the homeless...to get a broken man back on his feet.

When Charlotte Clark offers to pay for Julian Grayson's coffee, the world-famous drummer assumes she wants something from him. But Charlotte has no idea who he is, and Julian can't resist keeping up the charade - being incognito is a novelty and a relief.

He'll have to tell her...eventually. But as Charlotte cheerfully undertakes to transform his life, Julian realizes there's something about her that gives him what he hasn't felt in years: hope.

today

I waited to write my review until the end of the series. I liked all of the books. they were down to earth and could happen in someone's life. the guys in the band go through their own situations and end up finding someone to help them along the way. but they are skeptical and not sure if the person is genuine. when the guy finally decides to open up and throw caution to the wind, there is a whole new set of problems to deal with. but thankfully it all works out.

An unlikely alliance, yet it seems to work!

He's a tortured soul, unhappy with his life, disillusioned with the friends around him. All but his band mates and manager.
She is a hard working social worker, trying to help those that are going through hard times. Yes, she has no life outside her work, and that is just one of those things.
If she had known his full story, it is doubtful she would have taken a second look at him, but fate intervened.
This is the last episode of what has been a fantastic series. I have appreciated the narrators, who have done a fabulous job. They definitely add another dimension to the overall experience of these great storylines.

Love this series!

Great overall performances and story line! I was sad it ended :/
The voice Christopher used for Julian was pretty tough to follow. I know it must be a hard job but it did not do the character justice…other that that - i loved it!

Loved !

Probably my favorite of the three books in this series. I loved the grumpy Julien and sweet Charlotte.

Not crazy about the males voices

I enjoyed the series, but found the different males voices irritating. I don't understand the need to create a different voice for each character. It's leads to weird voices. Julian's was unnaturally growly and Matt's was was too whiney and nerdy sounding for a rock star. The narrator has a great voice when not forced into weirdness.

One chance Meeting

When your life turns into shambles you tuck and run but when part of a major rock band that really isn’t very easy to get away with. Your in Malibu and you order your coffee only to realize you forgot your wallet and someone pays it forward for and you become irate because they don’t recognize you

Cute story with odd narration

Cute story and loved the inclusion of updates on the Shaughnessy brothers! What I still wasn’t a fan of was having the male voice be inner thoughts for the female and vice versa. It’s a bit confusing and quite annoying.
