Publisher's Summary

The OMAD Diet to lose up to 10 pounds in a week.

The OMAD Diet is not just a diet. It's a lifestyle. It's a movement.

The OMAD Diet is based on intermittent fasting and is backed by numerous scientific studies. It's a powerful and effective lifestyle of eating only once per day at the right time, and high intensity interval training (HIIT).

Scientific research has found that increased weight gain is largely a result not of the amount of calories consumed per meal, but rather of eating more frequently per day and irregular eating patterns which leads to a disrupted circadian rhythm.

People in wealthy, developed countries such as America have access to food whenever they want. This has led people to become "grazers" and to eat whenever they feel like it. Eating frequently and snacking has become an addiction for many, with people always wanting something in their mouth.

In recent years, some nutritional and weight loss experts have recommended grazing or having five or six "mini meals", making people believe that this is a healthy eating habit. However, there are no studies to support this way of eating, and there is plenty of scientific evidence against it over the long term.

The OMAD Diet is highly successful in helping all to lose weight fast and keep it off permanently, because it addresses the root cause of weight gain - chronodisruption - as well as several other hidden factors.

Within this audiobook, there are over 700 scientific studies as well as numerous testimonials. There is no one-size-fits-all diet, but you can learn from all the research and the success stories of others to design a habit of eating that is ideal for you and your lifestyle. Whether it's eating only once or twice a day, or eating low-glycemic index foods or low-calorie-density foods, this audiobook comprehensively covers all the latest research related to health and weight loss.

NOT FOR VEGANS

This book has a lot of information but basically it’s just telling you to eat Whole Foods, stay away from sugar and artificial preservatives/additives. It emphasizes and explains why it’s good to fast (great info) BUT AS SOON AS THE NARRATOR SAID “DO NOT PRACTICE VEGANISM” and went on and on about the importance of eating animal products... I had to stop and return. I am vegan and I don’t believe I’m u healthy because I do not consume animal products. Sorry, had to return.
Also, this book tells you to JUICE your veggies and fruits. I think we all know that’s not the ideal option.

This book didn’t have a whole lot to do with eating one meal a day.

This but didn’t have a whole lot to do with eating one beer a day.

not really about one meal a day

I am a big believer in OMAD and thought this book would bring together all the studies on this topic. in stead it bangs on about three meals a day and other forms of diets and how important it is to eat grass fed organic antibiotic meat and all the hippie stuff. not a good listen and not much substance I'm afraid. oh and if I hear the word bone broth one more time..

Contradicting & a waste of time

This is literally just an accumulation of "over 700" random scientific studies on dieting and diet-related diseases that the author has lazily grouped together. You could learn more about OMAD from reddit. Most of the advice in this book actually works against each other, and it's full of polarizing statements like... "Don't eat if you're upset" I am at a loss as to how it ever got published. A disgrace to people who ACTUALLY spend time researching this stuff in the hopes of empowering others.
