Where does One Man's Princess: Royal Scandals, Book 6 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Once again Hollis McCarthy has a standout performance. I actually choose books based on the fact that she is the narrator!

The storyline is very sweet and characters are sympathetic. It is really not a stand-alone story, as the series context is required to understand the main character's issues. But it's a good listen and I look forward to the next book in the series!

Another great one!

This series by Nicole Burnham is excellent. A favorite of mine that I will listen to again...every one of them. It's wonderful how different each story is from another.

ONE MAN'S PRINCESS is one of my favorites of this series. I loved the characters, the way they interact with one another, and who they are as people. I cried and laughed throughout. There wasn't much suspense, which I appreciate for the difference it adds to the series.

Hollis McCarthy is a favorite narrator of mine. Her voice is so smooth and calm, full of emotion, and nails the mood of these books perfectly each time.

So looking forward to more from Nicole Burnham and Hollis McCarthy!!

Conflict of Feelings

What do you do when you find out that the mother you love and adore told you a lie all her life? How do you reconcile what you now know about her with the loving, caring person you thought she was? This is the conflict that faces Lina Cornaro as she as expanding the lingerie line she developed and learns of her mothers scandalous past with the future King of Sarcaccia. She is one of the King's three illegitimate children with his tutor. She also must resolve her relationship with Ivo, an internationally famous F1 driver, her long time lover. As the king told her, he hopes that she will be loved for herself and be one man's Princess rather than loved for her connections to him.

This is the sixth book about his nine children and I am looking forward to learning more about the other children as well. Minor characters from other stories make cameo appearances (head of security, Palace carpenter, Gellato shop owner)

I enjoy a good fairy tale ...

I enjoy a good fairy tale and Ms. Burnham has yet to disappoint. Those scandalous Sarcaccians are at it again, only this time, more is at stake. Secrets can topple a dynasty and wreck a heart. Lina is caught in the middle of an international mess that involves a king and her late mother. The woman she thought she knew is a woman she now wishes she could forget. Betrayal, heartache and notoriety are weighing her down. Can the man who broke her heart, set about healing her soul? I had the pleasure of experiencing Ivo and Lina through the words of Nicole Burnham and the vocal stylings of Hollis McCarthy. Together these women are a perfect match. Burnham paints a picture and McCarthy brings it to life.

Great Addition to Series!

This is a great series to listen to. I frequently listen to audio books when I am travelling and they make the time driving or flying speed by. The Royal Scandals Series is one that I really enjoy listening to. Hollis McCarthy does an awesome job as a voice actress. She seems to make the characters come alive. I would recommend this audio book and this entire series. Lina Cornaro the illegitimate daughter of the King of Sarcaccia is trying to come to terms with the person her mother really was -- in addition to her breakup with Ivo Zanardi. When you factor in some over zealous paparazzi and Ivo coming to her rescue is it another recipe for more heartache or is love the ultimate winner? Listen and find out.
