Publisher's Summary

Fresh starts, hope, and happily ever afters....

Nurse Sage Nichols life changed when she lost her favorite patient and inherited a bed-and-breakfast in a town she didn’t know existed. She traveled to Aspen Cove intent to sell so she could hurry back to her life in Denver. Little did she know, she was about to find everything she ever needed in the tiny mountain town with a big heart. Sage found herself in a place where caring for your neighbor was a way of life. In her case, that happened to be surly Cannon Bishop, the man of her dreams.

Cannon Bishop was a man who learned long ago that hope was a dangerous thing. Closed off from the world after a family tragedy, Cannon lived a lonely life as the owner of Aspen Cove’s only bar and son to the town drunk. When Sage Nichols breezed into town, she offered the possibility of more if he’d only open his heart.

Cannon's protective walls tumble, and suddenly, a brighter future of healing, hope, and peace was possible...if only Sage would stay.

One Hundred Books Please

I was originally drawn to this book/series because it is narrated by one of my favorite romance narrators, Logan McAllister. He has an amazing voice and would likely make the phone book sound sexy. Upon listening I was quickly drawn into Ms. Collins amazing writing, quick wit and intriguing story. There is great character development for both the primary and secondary characters which sets up nicely for the series. I also enjoyed the way Ms. Collins took her time to introduce the characters so that they are not easily mixed up and their history and personalities are easy to remember.

Ms. Collins has penned an amazing story and created a wonderful locale for what I can only hope are many stories to come. I am hoping that the series will slowly reveal the contents of each pink envelope and I can’t wait to read more.

I was provided with a free copy of this audio book for my honest review. The views expressed here are entirely my own.

I swooned cried and laughed

I listened straight through to the end, couldn't stop.
I could tell from the beginning it was going to be a great book and it was, all the characters were just what they needed to be and Bee was my favorite because she impacted everyone's lives.

the narration was good and gave just what it needed.

this is my honest review in exchange for the book as per audiobookboom.

Very entertaining!

This was such a great book.   The characters have little details that help shape their personalities.  Although the story is shaped by a loss, that loss changed many people's lives for the good.   I love the little town that at first glance seems more like a deserted town.   The town's people all come together to help whenever needed.

I really enjoyed the dynamic the two people who are part of the romance portion of the story.   They argue with themselves about what they want and jump to conclusions before thinking of talking it through.

This story made me feel many emotions.  There were some sad parts,  but I would say there were more funny parts to enjoy!  There is appreciation to the gifts that were given,  love at the way the people respond to help and surprise when there was a punch in the nose!

Awsome!

loved it. Was just the type of genre I like to read. If only we all had an angel such as Bee looking out for us leading us to Hope and HEAs.

Great start to the series!

I just started this series and I loved it! And it takes place in one of my favorite places. I absolutely love Colorado.
This book has great character development and it moves at a fast pace. The characters are developed via dialogue not so much description so you feel like you can really get to know them.
Can't wait to read the next one!

Logan McAllister does a great job with the narration.

This book was a gift from the author and this is my honest review.

Small town romance

This was a wonderfully written story about a person who keeps on giving beyond her death. Her bequests bring about friendships, healing and new relationships. This story focused on Canon and Sage. You will love it. The narrator was wonderful and had a smooth like whisky voice. I received a complimentary audio and this review is voluntary.

Enjoyable listen

This is book 1 in the Aspen Cove series. Without giving too much of the story away Sage gets the opportunity to move to a new town and meets grumpy Cannon and this is their story. I always enjoy reading books by Kelly Collins and I have to say listening is also superb.
Selecting a male narrator for a predominantly girly story was a good choice.
A must listen for Kelly fans.

Mostly enjoyable.

The story was a little bit mushy for my tastes, particularly the hero. I cannot imagine some of the dialogue attributed to him, coming out of any man's mouth. I did like the narrator though, he did really well with some cringeworthy ( for me) dialogue. A nice story, well read... so, on the whole I liked it.
