Perfect for an afternoon of leisure

This audiobook takes us back to Aspen Cove, where many go to visit and once there, it becomes home.
Relatively new to town are Deanna Archer, PA to a popstar that has made Aspen Cove home, and Deputy Merrick Buchanan, who moved for a quieter life after having been shot while working in Denver.
Even though when Deanne shocked Merrick when she kissed for the sole purpose of making a guy jealous, it seems it started to develop into something else. Especially when Merrick asks Deanna to be his fake girlfriend when his mom comes to visit him.
The story was entertaining, with witty dialogue and gave this listener a chance to “see” again characters from the previous stories.
A story perfect for an afternoon of leisure.

Getting What We Need

The saying, “Sometimes we may not get what we want but we may get what we need,” certainly applies in this wonderfully written story. Deanna wants Red back and asks Merrick to be her pretend boyfriend to help make him jealous. Merrick on the other hand wants to put a stop to his mother’s match making, so he also needs a pretend girlfriend. Deanna and Merrick’s “fake” relationship may turn out differently than what they expected! The story is entertaining, fun and romantic and totally enjoyable. Logan McAllister always does a fabulous job with the narration as well. This is definitely another highly recommended book in the Aspen Cove Romance series.

excellent book

The Aspen Cove series books are all engaging reading. This one is no exception. The Deanna is a strong woman determined to get what she wants. That is until what she wants changed.
Logan McAllister has a sexy voice and reads the book clearly. He is a great narrator and brings the story to life. I recommend this audiobook.

Enjoyed

She wanted what she wanted and wouldn’t take no. Getting a fake boyfriend was easy, keeping him as one proved difficult.
Amusing and with excellent narration added to this delightful story. Given audio for my voluntary review

Can Deanna and Merrick fake a relationship for the wrong reason and keep their hearts from falling in love? Life is full of mistakes but faking their relationship can be the best thing to happen for bóta of t’hem, if they fight for each other. Great love story and better audiobook, Logan McAllister is the voice of Aspen Cove romance.
