Publisher's Summary

“We both wanted this Leigh,” McKale said, confusion clearly coloring his voice, “why are you shutting me out?”

Leigh Pulson has spent the past three years away from home trying to escape the Coleman name.

But when McKale Coleman arrives on her doorstep one evening, Leigh knows that her time of freedom is about to be cut short.

Leigh has long since tried to suppress her scandalous attraction to the tall muscular handsome McKale…but the man himself holds no such illusions.

McKale - the billionaire heir to the Coleman fortune - has been tasked with finding Leigh and bringing her home…whether Leigh wants to or not.

Along the way McKale offers Leigh every temptation, while Leigh tries her hardest not to give into her darkest desires.

Authors Note: This book was previously published under the title My Steps Wants and depicts sensually mature situations.

Different Narrator

OMG!! the narrator is terrible. Her male voice is horrible and don't get me started on the sex scenes. The narrator should not narrate erotic romance. I don't think I can listen to another book narrated by Denise Black.

I wasn’t prepared to get so pulled into this captivating story. Loved the narration too - made for a v.racy read! :p

Not for the faint of heart!

This is way more erotica than erotic story so it may not be easy listening for old-time romantics. Overall it was not what I expected but still turned out to be a very satisfying read.

Could have been better

Could have been better. An otherwise sizzling story was curtailed by bad narrator. Couldn’t finish.

Formulaic

I am not disappointed that I got this book, I just wish it had been a little better.

Great characters, lame story.

More The Office than The Sopranos. This was not so much an intriguing dark mafia love story as it was a middle of the road romance with a lot of sex thrown in. Which is disappointing because the writers and narrator do a wonderful job fleshing out the personalities of Leigh and McKale.

Smutty

Smutty. More vocal porn than romance. No thank you! Not bad at all but no so good too

Fantastic!!

I am in love with McKales broody-self. I also liked the ending and I can’t wait to read more from these characters. And yes I know this is a standalone story yet I can still wish for it right?

Too much bad language

It might seem a bit strange that I find bad language - during a bondage scene no less - off putting, but it was uncalled for. Otherwise this could have been a good story.

A so so book

That powerful opening chapter fell away into corporate-esque drama. It was almost like the multiple sex scenes were thrown in as an afterthought. I’m not at all sure what is so mafia about boring corporate politics :S

Should be longer

This should be longer; or at least this should be part of a series rather than a one-off plot. Don’t let that put you off though because One False Step is dirty sexy fun regardless. :)

Fun and Entertaining

Big thumbs up to authors! This is one of those books that you just know would do well as a TV drama (on something like HBO) because the tension rises up off every sentence as Leigh gets dragged into a world of dark romance and corporate intrigue - all of which makes for incredible listening. Still I have to ask: Where is the rest of this book? It felt like it ended on more of a cliffhanger ending than a conclusion.

Hot Sex: Good. Story: Just Alright

I wanted to like this book (I honestly did!) particularly as the way the writers weave and describe a scene is great to listen to. But I just did not care about Leigh in the end.

Awesome read

I love any good book that can make my heart race from the suspense. Leigh and McKale’s love story does just that from start to end (although I have a feeling there is more to come - no way does McKale’s old man give up the company that easy).

Dark Romance with a Happy Ending

One false step has an enjoyable storyline and McKale is so attentive to Leigh all the time. Wonderful narration to boot!

It was ok

One sex scene after another does not a romance make. Did not keep my attention.

The Perfect Pair

A dark romance is unveiled when Leigh returns home only to have the man she tried to leave behind arrive on her doorstep. Inside One False Step you’ve got romance, mystery, and more than a touch of dark lust. Leigh and McKale are meant to be together, and throughout we listen as the two dance around the subject before finally having the courage to accept they are meant to be. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

What a ride!

Less mafia and more about wealth and power, One False Step tracks the return of prodigal child Leigh back to her home - and into the arms of her first love, McKale Coleman. Great narration coupled with a hot plot made this a joy to read from start to end.

Dark Betrayal Romance

What starts out with an intense scene in an apartment stripped bare of all Leigh's possessions soon escalates into emotional dilemmas after dilemma. The connection between McKale and Leigh is gritty and raw and I loved it when neither one held back. I couldn’t get enough!
