Publisher's Summary
When a brutal attack from a jealous competitor leaves Noah Strauss, darling of the modeling world, physically scarred and emotionally damaged, he quits the runway to become a psychologist. Using his contacts from his time in the spotlight, he creates One Call Away, a radio show dedicated to gay men looking for love, advice or someone to talk to. But with secrets of his own and a mother who refuses to understand the career path he's chosen, the one person Noah can't seem to help is himself.
On a drunken dare from the senior partner's grandson, Oren Leavitt calls Noah's radio show, pretending to be gay. Only Oren isn't certain if he's pretending. He's left his strict Orthodox Jewish upbringing behind, but the guilt remains. Guilt that his actions have prevented his sister from finding a husband and guilt that he's failed his parents. Talking to "Dr. Noah" helps, and as he finds himself calling the man again and again, he knows he must be honest. But Oren is unsure if he's lying to Noah or himself.
For Noah, trust is paramount; he's been deceived in his personal and professional life and while he desperately wants to help Oren, he also finds himself falling for the sweet and tortured man. Oren is trapped: he risks losing his job and more importantly the love and security of his family but knows he can't hide if he wants to be with Noah. When unresolved heartaches from the past rise up to control the present, Noah and Oren discover that love often comes from the most unexpected places, and sometimes a call for help not only saves a life, it can be a new and beautiful beginning.

Happily Ever
I just finished this amazing book. It is a m/m story of two Jewish men who meet and find what is missing in their lives. Noah is a psychologist, and not religious, with a call in radio show for gay men and Oren is a lawyer, raised orthodox, working at a fancy New York law firm. Oren calls in to Noah's show and their lives are changed forever. This is a sweet and beautiful story that has some hot sexy times too. The narration is by Seth Clayton who separates each character with nuances of accents that are perfect. I am off to find more work by both Felice Stevens and Seth Clayton.

Courage
This story starts with lots of angst. Oren has so much that he is holding onto in his life. I love the preemies that it was to be a joke but it started him on the journey to self acceptance. Noah also has things he needs to face and I like how as much as Noah helped Oren, Oren was helping right back. I love how we got to see the families processed truths as well.
I listened to the audio version and enjoyed it very much.

Have Tissues Ready
One Call Away by Felice Stevens
Story 5 Stars
Audio5 Stars
Story-line:
Felice wrote another novel that will pull your heart strings and required a box of tissues nearby. I love her stories that are full of life and basic human flaws. There are some triggers of extreme homophobia and a past violent attack.
Noah hosts a radio talk show “One Call Away” created to help gay men looking for advice. He used to be a very successful model but now he is doing work he loves and matters. Becoming a psychologist was actually his dream job, while most people would covet the fame of professional modeling.
A quirk of faith due to a simple dare, connects Noah with an endearing young lawyer named Oren. At first Noah is furious at the shy and confused man’s deception but that quickly evaporates into a true connection and attraction.
There was no angst regarding the romance which I found completely refreshing. Oren was troubled by a hostile workplace and the fear of being disowned by his family if they find out he is never going to marry a nice religious woman. Noah has his own family issues stemming from keeping his true feelings under wraps for so long. I was rooting for the two MC's to overcome these obstacles as they are everything the other needs.
This poignant story was brilliantly done and I strongly urge you to savor this.
Audio:
Narrator: Seth Clayton
The audio was even paced and distinct. I enjoyed Seth’s interpretation of the two lovers. He was very expressive and I loved the softer tone of Noah. An excellent production that I absolutely recommend and know you will appreciate.

A very sweet touching story.I loved it.
I really loved this story.I felt like I could relate to both characters.
Owen's character who, called,Dr.Noah, for advice, was very relatable to me.
I believe anyone can relate to Owen's feelings of loneliness and insecurity, especially as it relates to his fear of coming out to his family, and the fear of maybe being rejected by them.
I personally understand how difficult it was for him to come out to his family,it was difficult for me to come out to mine too.
As for Dr.Noah,I could relate to him wanting to help others.
I am really happy, that in the end they ended up together.
Real love is very hard to find in life.
It's nice to see, how something as simple as a phone call, could bring two lost souls together.
I hope the author writes a sequel with these two characters.
I wish that there really were,a radio show like,Dr.Noah's.
I believe it could help lots of people.
Overall what really drew me to this book, was the theme of human connection.
We all crave human connection, whether it's calling a friend or family member to say hi,or even something as simple as sharing a quick hello or a smile, with someone else.
I highly recommend this audiobook,it really touched me.

Cute and emotional roller coaster
Story: Noah's and Oren's story was a veritable roller coaster! There is plenty of sweet, almost fairy tale like moments, but in true Felice Stevens fashion, there is also plenty of angst and difficult issues. I loved how the story was construed and how the development of both MCs was portrayed. It was a very mature approach fitting their personalities and the whole story was amazingly riveting!
Narration: A great voice! All the characters were easy to identify and the flexibility was truly impressive!

as good as the ebook
The story is always 4-5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook. I can't listen to an audiobook without knowing the book, that's not possible for me.
The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, I’m over the half, but I listen enough to give a review.
PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!
To my ratings:
5* - very very good
it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A
3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

Becoming the person you have always been inside
What superbly written and fascinating true to life story. The fears, despair never ending turmoil so many of us have endured. Learning to accept and come to love the true inner self. This story relays every emotional unresounding feelings that so many gay men face coming to terms with their own sexuality. Finally coming to that make or break moment of truth and start living as the person you have always been inside and not the person other expect you to be.

Emotional
One Call Away is a heartfelt emotional read. This book cover such a wide range from jealousy, hatred to religious views and emotional states of minds. My heart broke over and over again hearing both Oren's and Noah's stories.
Two lost souls who find each other and both battle through their demons with the help and more importantly understand of each other. It's a beautiful story of growth and love of finding your happiness.
This book may be low on angst but it's certainly high on emotion and love.

Great, I just wanted more of the intriguing subplots!
Ex-model, now radio psychologist, Noah, fields a prank on-air call from Oren that kick starts both their personal growth and romance journeys. Tender characterisations, some nice intriguing subplots, but I would liked more of the story to focus on (i) Oren and his boss, (ii) Oren’s unmarried sister, and (iii) Noah’s brother. Seth Clayton conveyed the fragility and strength of Noah and Oren perfectly!

Story
What do you do when you wake up with a hangover and find yourself in bed with your best friend's younger brother? Who happens to be your new brother-in-law? The man who drives you crazy. The man who always skated by on fast-talk, good looks, and a bright smile. The one who makes you want to break all the rules. You hire him as your assistant, of course. And pray you can keep your sanity. And your hands off him.

Story
He’s a thief, a convicted felon. A cocky guy with tattoos and a smirk for days. He needs a bodyguard and I need a job, so here we are. And the more time I spend with Ronan Michaels, the more I realize maybe he isn’t the bad guy after all. But why do I feel like he’s hiding something or protecting someone? Or both? My angel Gabriel has a devil on his shoulder. He’s not a sinner—but certainly no saint. Gabriel’s discovered my secrets, yet the more I push him away, the closer he stands by my side.

Story
Quinn Monahan and Grayson Page have been friends since high school. Despite their differences, they’ve been there for each other through thick and thin. Opening Last Call together, a bar tucked away in the small town of Heartsville, PA, seemed a natural progression - even if it makes it harder to live with the secret longing they’ve always had for each other.

Story
Former model and B-list actor (B meaning really bad) Isaac Seidel is now a NYC firefighter on special assignment in the one-horse town of Serenity, Pa. But all work and no play makes Isaac a dull boy, and when he hooks up with the most explosive one-night stand he’s ever had, it looks like country life might not be so boring after all. Especially when the guy he thought he’d never see again turns out to be one of the volunteer firefighters he’s expected to train.

Story
Carter Haywood lives for the weekends - specifically the one weekend every month when he escapes real life, with all the pressures of work and caring for his special needs brother, to do whatever he wants, with whomever he wants. Sex is only a release; he's not looking for love, a relationship or even a second night with the same man, until he walks into a bar and finds someone who makes leaving it all behind impossible.
