Loved this!

This was a great listen! It's narrated by the amazing Sebastian York and Andi Arndt, who are excellent together and really brought the characters to life. Mackenzie was my favorite kind of lead female; strong, independent, and has a cute personality. Campbell is swoon worthy, a former teen heartthrob who is down to earth, treats women well, and is a good dad. The two made a perfect couple and had good chemistry. There were plenty of super hot romance scenes and the plot moved at a good pace. I'm looking forward to reading the other books in the series!

Audio Review

I am always excited to see Sebatian York and Andi Arndt as narrators! They always do such a great job and in this book it was no different. It was actually really fun when text messages were voiced by the respective narrators.

Once Upon a Great Time was a wonderful, sweet, but still steamy story about two parents who, despite the intense chemistry, puts their children’s happiness before their own. Campbell and Mackenzie initially meet in a bar where Campbell was performing during a trivia night. Mackenzie does not really socialize all that much any longer but because she is the queen of trivia, she enjoys these nights out. From the first eye contact, the attraction was instantaneous. Unfortunately that was all that was to be, stolen glances, until it wasn’t. They meet again and they have an amazing night. Unfortunately the next time they see each other is when they realize that Campbell with be teaching Mackenzie’s son.

All in all, this was a great story, the chemistry between these two were off the charts, starting with their initial night. There were so many scenes where I was smiling so much. It was really amusing watching these two try so hard to stay away from any romantic entanglements but try the whole friends thing. Both the kids were wonderful and loved how they were integrated into the story.

easy read for when you want a total feel good

Sebastian's voice is everything you want in total romance. Easy light read for when you want everything to be ok.

Great Blakely Book

As usual, not disappointed with anything written by Lauren Blakely. This is a great story. She has such a creative mind. Every story she writes is so unique the listener/reader does't get bored. The narrators are two of the best. They NEVER disappoint. I feel like I'm right there in the story.

Mmmm, Mmmm, Good!

Holy Smokin' Guitar Solos. Campbell melted my heart from the moment he and Mackenzie locked smoldering eyeballs. Yes, please! Where do I order one of those? This steamy novel is one of the most smokin' hot, passionate, tension-laced reads I've had the privilege of enjoying in quite a while. Is it me, or is it hot in here???? DANG, this puppy wagged my tail.

This book has all the feels, which is wonderful. It also has a ton of great laughs and fabulous banter as well. The characters are delightfully real, and easy to relate to. One of the things I most enjoyed about Campbell and Mackenzie, was that both of them were such excellent parents and focused on raising their kids first. Awesome, really. I loved that they were the kind of people who wanted a great relationship, but not at the expense of their children. Both of these characters had simply wonderful, loving personalities while still maintaining a sense of reality. They didn't come off as judgmental stiff-spined, inhuman jerks. They just seemed like great people who loved their kids and put them first, but that didn't mean they weren't real people with *ahem* needs of their own.

Basically, all of Lauren Blakely's books are golden. but the plot and characters of this story may be my personal favorite so far. As for the audiobook: you can never go wrong with the king and queen of audio: Sebastian York and Andi Arndt do an amazing job as always, turning this stellar story into an audio star.

Steaming hot and fun! THANK YOU Lauren Blakely for this 1st book in what is sure to be a great series! I absolutely loved this book. Sebastian York and Andi Arndt NEVER let us down with their narration. SY and that delicious voice of his narrating all the sexy and HOT AS HELL parts had the temperature in the room skyrocketing!

So many fun parts and lines (again, Thank You Lauren for writing them and sharing them!), one of my favorite lines was read by Andi, "It's so rare that you can enjoy a good finger bang in the kitchen rather than a cup of soup!"

Perfect adult romance!

Finally a story with no one playing the idiot! This a an enjoyable, fun, sexy couple who are well adjusted and open, put thier families first AND go for love. No unnecessary drama needed to get you intested. Just life and passion.

Great Story!

Having been a Mom that raised my son alone, I appreciate when you have love stories that show that love can still come to you even when your standards are high. Putting your children first is only attractive to someone else who feels the same thing about their own children. Great read and heartfelt love story!
