Publisher's summary

Once Buried is the 11th book in the best-selling Riley Paige mystery series, which started off with the best seller Once Gone.

A serial killer is killing victims at rapid speed, and in each crime scene, he leaves an unusual signature: an hourglass. The sand in it is designed to fall for 24 hours and when it is empty, a new victim appears.

Amid intense media pressure, and in a frantic race against time, FBI Special Agent Riley Paige is summoned, with her new partner, to crack the case. Still reeling from the fallout with Shane, trying to sort out her family life and to help Bill get back on his feet, Riley’s plate is already full. And as she enters the darkest canals of this twisted killer’s mind, this just may be the case that sends her over the edge.

Once Buried is a dark psychological thriller with heart-pounding suspense and a beloved new character that will leave you listening late into the night.

It’s B-A-U

I normally love the narrator of these books but these last 2 books have been awful. Bad accents and the narrator refuses to say B A U instead she says “bow” and it took me forever to figure out what she was talking about.

Horrible Narrator

The narrator made this story so hard to listen to absolute horrible narrator I only hope she is not narrating the next book.

Hard to listen to

I love these books. Though, I found it hard to listen to, because of the narrator. You can hear, what sounds like, her nose whistling and you can hear her swallowing. Also, the mispronounced words are, very, frustrating.

Awful narration

Buyers remorse. The narration killed it. She is awful. I don't want to hear her swallowing or her very very poor attempt at accents. Unfortunately because she narrated the next few books, I will be foregoing those as well. She absolutely killed it for me. And I am a longtime reader of this author.
