Publisher's summary

The world of Kamaria will never be the same.

In the aftermath of the brutal slaying of a sacred auk'nai deity, Cade and Nella Castus are taken from their home and brought deep into the wilderness. They must make their way back to civilization, traversing dangerous landscapes as they are pursued relentlessly by their captor—a winged abomination. As Denton and Eliana search for their missing children, they uncover something that will change life on Kamaria forever.

Awesome continuation

The second installment of The Song of Kamaria is a breakneck ride! Taking place 26 years after the original book, this one follows the children of our original MCs. Everything I loved about the first book is elevated in this second one, however, this book could use a little bit of editing. Phrases and certain "events" became a bit repetitive. Nothing that put me off the the book at all but it is why this book comes in a four star and not a five.

I love the way the world is opened up in this book. Love how the song is explored in many different ways. I also really enjoyed following the children. It was really great to see how the world had changed in the years that passed and how much stayed the same.

The ending is explosive, making me want to pick up the third book right away.

An amazing world filled with interesting creatures and an exciting story!

I loved reading this series, so I jumped at the chance to listen to it on audiobook!
The narrator for On the Winds of Quasars, C.J. McAllister, did a fantastic job with different voices and accents, bringing the wonderful characters from this series to life with ease:
- The Aukn’ai sounded like an alien species speaking a language foreign to them which was perfect.
- Auden’s voice had a really creepy edge to it which was also very fitting.
- The three eyed monster Auk’gnell has an emotionless metallic sounding voice
- Nella and Zephyr sounded believably feminine.
The excitement and drama was well delivered - the timing of the narration was excellent and injected plenty of emotion and intrigue where it was needed by the action of a particular scene.
The story is full of originality, excitement, plenty of heart and even a little horror, a murder mystery set on the planet Kamaria amidst all of its wondrous flora and fauna, a planet settled by humans far in the future. In addition to the murder mystery there are monsters, a thrilling chase, deaf representation and so much more! My full review of T.A. Bruno’s story can be found on Amazon.

Great follow up to Sirens that delivers!

I really loved the first book in the series. I really like stories about deep space and new discoveries. New planets, and creatures, plants, all that stuff is so cool and there's no shortage in this. But also builds on alot of things established in the first book, like the current state of the Auk'nai and the aftermath of events in the past.

It definitely hits all the sci fi tropes I love in an inventive unique way with a cast of characters I definitely get wrapped up in the story with. Lots of scenes in this book had my mind racing with visuals, but wont elaborate to avoid spoilers. I'll just say definitely check out the series and this book if youve read the first. Its a great follow-up and T.A. Bruno's writing gets better and better.

Fantastic!!

I keep finding new reasons to fall in love with this series!!! Action, story progression, great characters all check!!!

The climax of this book had me on the edge of me seat!!! Ai has never been more terrifying.

TA Bruno has created a space opera packed with life and hard sci fi elements. With a dash of the fantastical. A perfect sequel that serves as a perfect transition into the final book of the trilogy.

I loved C.J’s narration. He did a fantastic job. Bringing this epic to life. I cannot recommend this series enough!

An excellent listen for sci-fi fans

TA Bruno pulls no punches in this fine blend of science fiction and fantasy. After picking up several years after the time of its prequel, Winds proceeds with a mixed cast of familiar and new characters while revealing a surprising amount of depth to mysteries only hinted at previously. Overall a great mix of action and world-building.
