Needs appendix content to be useful

Good and helpful content, but without access to the appendices referenced throughout it does not provide the full value of the content.

what grandma would have advised

I listened to this book because my daughter is trying to follow the principles it propounds with her infant son. I found much of what it contains good advice and very clearly explained. So why a 4 and not a 5?
The methods and advice propounded in this book are straight from my own mother's child rearing philosophy, and she is 97 years old. She alwsys told me that keeping baby on a good schedule is most of the trick to successful child care. So, the information is not really new. it's just marketed in an updated, more scientific sounding version. Plus, it does not provide answers for parents who need to work long hours.

Worst narrator ever

I barely got through this whole book because the narrator was terrible!! I pushed through because This book was recommended by so many people and I was really interested in reading it, but I feel like I didn’t take much from it because I couldn’t get past the readers voice. I know there are other versions out there so if you want to listen to this book then do yourself a favor and get another version read by someone else!

Great information, poorly executed.

This book has a ton of great information for new or expecting parents.

The only thing I would have appreciated more would have been PDF charts available at purchase within the audible app itself. You can get the charts they talk about from Babywise.life/pages/printables for free.

The reader is kind of monotone and is easy to stop paying attention too.

Overall I’d say it’s worth the buy.

Monotone Narrator

I listen to audio books all the time, and I have to admit, I struggled to get through this because of the narrator’s voice. So bland. The book itself is decent, but I think you have to take it all with a grain of salt for fear of pulling out your hair if you can’t “perfect the method”. Glad I have the info, but not the first baby care book I’d recommend.

Still listening, but struggling with this narrator

My friends swear by this book, so we’re pushing on. However the narration of this book is very hard to listen too. The interesting part is that the narrator’s voice is soothing and has a lot of potential, but the awkward pauses and strange timing is very unsettling for my wife and I. It feels like it is being read by and AI that just doesn’t fully understand the nuances of human language. Is it just poor editing?

Balance Between Routine & Baby’s Needs

I have been impressed with the authors’ outlook on parenting and how that ties into the babywise caring method. They constantly come back to having a good balance between routine and your baby’s needs. I think this book is a must for any parents, new or sending/thirds parents and I have already started recommending it to other moms I know.

Ps. I do however wish I got the kindle version as I feel it might be better for future quick referencing.

Wish had a pdf of the charts

Really wish there were pdf to follow the charts mentioned in the story. Would give 5 stars across the board if so

Great Resource

A great tool for parents in the chaotic times of welcoming new babies into their lives! Adults love routines, babies are no different. Babywise will help you achieve that routine.

Narrator hard to understand

I’ve read this book in hard copy so I know what it says but I still find it very difficult to understand this narrator. It’s as if the sound recording drops out, or he simply doesn’t enunciate certain letters/sounds. It’s like hearing half-words - which is completely distracting.
