Publisher's summary

Nick Ramsey has a problem. He keeps falling for straight alphas...and they keep disappointing him time and time again. He knows it's a character flaw, but when he checks out his 10-year high school reunion and gets reminded of his favorite schoolboy crush, he can't help but risk his heart all over again.

Deacon Santos knows he's bisexual...he's just not willing to let everyone else know it, too. He's always assumed that he'd end up with a woman by default. But now 30, and with no lover in sight, he's starting to feel the pull of creating a family all his own.

When Deacon offers Nick a place to stay after a nasty break up, they surprise one another by how quickly they fall into a strong friendship - and into bed.

But friends with benefits only works when no one's heart is on the line - and try as he might, Nick can’t stop himself from getting attached. When Nick finds the courage to move out, will Deacon chance the bravery it takes to come out of the closet for the man who steals his breath away?

Carter’s Crossing is a quaint little town nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, where some people go to get away, others arrive to start over, and plenty just find themselves when they’re lost or brokenhearted. This contemporary mpreg series is for adults only and is sure to leave you believing in the magic of true love and happily-ever-afters! This audiobook and every other audiobook in this stand-alone series can be listened to in any order.

Happiness!

Sometimes, coming to terms with who you are, can be the hardest thing you ever do. After leaving his latest living situation, Nick returns home for a school reunion. He reconnects with his high school crush, Deacon. Deacon is very attracted to Nick, but not sure he can commit to loving a man. Deacon is afraid of being labeled anything but straight. Nick is afraid he can’t stop being attracted to the wrong person. As they work on their separate issues, both realize the right person is right under their nose. The supporting characters are great, as is the narrator. Visit Carter’s Crossing, and fall in live.

Highschool crush rush

Full disclosure I received a copy of the audio book in exchange for a honest review.
That being said Aiden Bates delivers again a touching Mpreg storyline.
Deacon is an Alpha with issues about his sexuality. He is bisexual but plans on settling with a woman. He doesn't even share his past experiences with men.
Nick is the Omega that always falls for the straight guys. He's out of a job, out of a house, and out of a boyfriend; so it's the perfect time to go to a high school reunion. But will his best friend's older brother be the answer he seeks.

I enjoyed the story

I liked the story but wasnt really into the narrator that much so I ended up getting the book in kindle form and wasnt disappointed. while there are parts of the relationship I didnt like, I like men who are more self assured. I will read the other stories in the series since it was a pleasant read.

More Carter's Crossing Msgic

Narrator Bill Burrows has a great Alpha voice, deep, rumbly, kinda growly. Although he uses alternate intonation for the Omega, it was a bit startling to hear such a gruff voice. Logically, Omegas don't all have to have the voice of a twelve year old boy. Bill did a 5 star ***** job.

Omega Nick comes back home to Carter's Crossing for a 10 year high school reunion. He reconnects with Alpha Deacon, the alpha he had a crush on all those years ago. An odd relationship developes. Deacon wants a child. Nick would like to have a baby. They both agree that they would make excellent fathers.

Unsurprisingly, Nick becomes pregnant. Suprisingly, Deacon is reluctant to commit to a relationship with Nick. As a father and co-parent, Deacon feels Nick would be excellent. He's just not prepared to settle into a forever, "till death do us part" scenario. Nick is hurt by this attitude. Pregnancy hormones, misunderstandings, and well meaning friends conspire to keep our MCs apart.

The magic of Carter' Crossing refuses to be thwarted. Fate will find a way for these two to reach their HEA.

Can Deacon Santos overcome his fear?

Deacon Santos always thought he'd end up with a woman and start a family. Then Nick Ramsey goes to his 10 year high school reunion after losimng his job and being kicked out by his straight alpha boyfriend. Can Deacon come to grips with his fear of being labeled gayl while knowing he is bisexual. Nick becomes pregnant. Will Deacon be a real father to his child? I loved the story, characters, and narration. There is one more book in the Carter's Crossing Series. On my way to listen!

Sweet, low angst listen

Narration was good if a bit wooden and stilted in some places. The story was ok , sweet pretty low angst fit well with the series, not the best but not the worst either. Overall a nice listen.

Loved this storyline

Loved this little romance. I always love when a unrequited love from afar is returned. High school reunions are always scary no matter who you are. But when you were secretly crushing on someone and they weren’t even into your gender, ugh!! Going back and wondering who they are with now, only to find out no one. Woohoo! This little romance is sweet but both characters are conflicted with their pasts. They struggle to get over them together and separated. Love overall wins.
Great book, horrible narrator, kept using a girlish voice for the omega when he was conflicted or have sexual scenes. Definitely won’t listen to an m/m by this narrator again.

as good as the ebook

The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

3* - it's more then a one-time-listening, but not more then twice a year.
it's like a B

Good Book

The book's story is about accepting who you are and being able to accept that about yourself. The narrator did an incredible job with this book.
