A gang of werewolf shifters dashed this hope when they kidnapped him from the streets. Their Alpha planned on selling him to the highest bidder. The cruel Alpha didn't hesitate to tell him why. Toby was a rare omega wolf and coming into heat he was an irresistible draw to any Alpha wolf. Moreover, Toby would want to mate with an Alpha regardless of the consequences. He dreads his future until a young Alpha comes into the bar who literally steals him from his fate.

Can Toby and Ryker outrun the abusive Alpha while navigating the tricky territory of Toby's heat. And can they do so without altering both lives inexorably?

A Nice Tale...

Quick and decisive....just like the minds of Ryker and Tobie. A little adventure, a little intrigue, and an intense meeting of mates. I enjoyed this story.

Narrator voice not that good

storyline was ok, kind of rushed. but the narrator voice was bad. No feeling or emotion in voice when he read actual dialogue. so it sounded like a computer reading

ok story, meh naration

The story was ok, it would have been better if it was longer. The naration was not the best. there was a lot of long pauses and overall it made it a harder listen.

the story line was pretty good but omg the narrator was horrible. it was hard to listen to it. don't waste you money on it. good it was available through audible escape

sweet

wow i ready love this story it was so sweet and the people in the storyline were great

a short shifter story

This is a good short story. I honestly think it should've been longer to give it some more world building. Ryker and Toby are likable characters as alpha and omega and I'm glad Ryker stepped up and helped Toby. But the story goes from them barely getting together to them becoming fathers. There's so much of the story that's left out.
Narrator Maxwell Palmer does a good job.

Wow !

Really good m/m shifter story! In depth with fully fleshed characters and an emotionally charged plot. Love can overcome every obstacle and Ryker and Toby are sure thrown a lot of them.

Just Okay

This was a decent story, but the narration was monotonous and the ending was abrupt.

Fairly predictable, narration satisfactory, story satisfactory. Nothing outstanding, but a cute little story, as expected.

It Was Okay

I struggled to finish it towards the end. The story could have been (much) better written in my point of view and there was enough material that it could have been a bit longer with more detail. As a result, the story felt rushed, though mostly towards the end. It was okay.

The narrator is a different story. Honestly, I think the guy would have been more excited if he had been reading Tax Law books. It was pretty tiresome towards the end but I did make it. I may check out other stories from this author but if they're all like this one, it does not bode well for me and the rest of the series.
