Acerca de esta escucha

A pioneer girl traveling west with her Mormon family at the mid-point of the 19th century, Olive Oatman’s life story began like many others. But when Olive’s family were massacred and she was taken captive by Native Americans, her story took a unique turn. An extraordinary tale of survival and loss, the life of Olive Oatman is stranger than fiction.

Inside, you will listen about:

  • Journey to the Promised Land
  • The Massacre
  • Slaves of the Tribe
  • Olive’s Tribal Tattoo
  • Return to Civilization
  • Late Life and Death
  • And much more!

The reader had a different style that took some getting used to. The story was interesting but short.

I found this to be a very short story that was void of so much detail that it read more like a summary with no real vesting in the story.

It was weak

…but not an in depth recounting of the story. It was short and I would’ve liked more.

Okay for an over view

This is a very brief overview or summary of Olive Oatman’s life. It’s the equivalent to reading a Wikipedia article.

Very Brief Overview

I found the book very dishonest. It rewrites history to fit the current liberal agenda. Tells the reader that the Mojave Indians “allowed brothers to choose their sexuality” and minimizes violent clashes between tribes and the taking of slaves. How about some honesty!

Rewrite history and promotes progressive agenda

I don't understand the high ratings. I was looking forward to learn of Olive's life while she was with her captors. Most of what was told of her experience with the Indians was speculative. We don't know if she was actually married or had children while with her captors?!? We don't know how she felt about her experience?!? I was disappointed. I'm returning it.

Too much speculation
