Thinking about writing a memoir?

If you're thinking about writing a memoir this book is perfect for you. I loved how Natalie Goldberg approach every chapter. She has this ability to make you want to write immediately. The simplicity in her writing excersice makes you think anything is possible while you're writing your memoir. Loved to hear her voice too! I simply adore this writer and loved this book.

Superb-

For forty years I've enjoyed writing about my experiences and my memories, long before the current fad called 'journaling'. I first read Goldberg's "Writing Down The Bones" in the 80's and have loved her outlook and writing ever since. I'd love to be able to attend a class of hers; you can see her in speeches and interviews on YouTube. This is a fun little book. She emphasizes in this book the same thing she does in "Writing": just get going! I agree completely that sitting and thinking about writing is nothing; it's the writing that counts, good, bad, or in-between. I'll never have anything published, and don't want to. This book reminds me of why I enjoy writing, though.
