Great Book!

Lots of great information especially helpful if you work in the oil field. The author does a very good job of reading the book and explaining details and situations that make learning from the experiences easy. Would recommend to anyone.

More focused on safety, drilling and fracking operations

This is a good listen for being an oil field book. Doesn’t really focus on production after Flowback besides work over operations. As a pumper I was hoping for a few scenarios related to my job. Gets technical at times and hard to follow unless your used to the procedures. Planning on buying the physical book.

Very knowledgeable and interesting

For a young person getting into the oil field this would be a very good book to read to give you an idea of what the job is going to entail and what life in the field has for you in store.

Valuable Oil and Gas Industry Knowledge

Greatly enjoyed listening to the audiobook on the way to location. I work in the oil and gas industry and spend a lot of time in the field and found the information highly relevant to real-world operations. The author understands the dynamics and challenges in the field. This seemed to be a complex book to transition into audio and I think the author did a great job of explaining the charts, quotes, tables in the hardcopy book, in the audiobook. During certain parts, I was following along with the hardcopy book, and I could tell there is a lot of additional information in the audiobook that is not in the hardcopy, especially in the procedures section. I greatly enjoyed the stories and situations explained. I like the fact the author himself read this one as I am not a fan of audiobooks narrated by professionals, even if it's not 100% perfect. I think this book will help prevent accidents and other 'undesirable situations'. If you work in the oilfield, I highly recommend the Oilfield Survival Guide.

This book is VERY dry

This is a good book for asirining engineers and academics to listen to, before they leave a classroom to enter life.

From an engineer who has never put his hands on a brake handle, for engineers who have no intention of ever putting thier hands on a device in the field.
