Publisher's summary

Story Brooks's fiancé just called off their wedding two weeks before the happy day. As if that isn't bad enough, her semi-estranged father, an infamous NYPD hostage negotiator, has suffered a heart attack. Not wanting to examine her lack of emotion over the broken engagement, she hops on a plane to reconnect with her father before it's too late.

Playboy hostage negotiator Daniel Chase has never been refused by a woman. So when a debate over hospital snack foods with a delectable kindergarten teacher ends in flat-out rejection, he makes it his mission to seduce her. His only obstacle? She's the daughter of his mentor, who implicitly forbade Daniel from pursuing her.

Despite her father's warnings and Daniel's troubled past, Daniel and Story can't resist their intense attraction to each other. But when the reason for her fiancé's abrupt wedding cancellation comes to light, can Story and Daniel's already forbidden relationship survive?

NARRATOR SUCKS

The story was good, spice is there and I enjoyed the story overall BUT the narrator almost ruined it over and over! I pushed through her voice because I like the story line but I will not listen to anything she narrates again.

Terrible narration

This was a good book. However, the narration was just awful. I don't know if she has a speech impediment, but this lady should not be narrating books. Totally ruined the story.

Loved it! Loved Story, loved Daniel

Laughed my ass off during the karaoke scene. Actually laughed my ass off a few times but the karaoke scene was priceless. My favorite of the series so far. I actually listened as part of the Audible romance package but this one was DEFINITELY worth a credit. Next in series features her BFF and his coworker do hopefully I will be revisiting them at some point during it.

Who approves the voice talent

This book was great, story was fun and moved swiftly... but the narrator? She is AWFUL if I didn't. Enjoy the way Tessa Bailey writes, so much, I would have asked for a refund.

Officer Off Limits Audiobook Review

📚BOOK REVIEW📚

Officer Off Limits by Tessa Bailey
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Line of Duty series book #3 features Story and Daniel. Story was just dumped by her fiance 2 weeks before her wedding day and finds out her dad had a heart attack and returns home to him. Enter delicious Daniel Chase, hostage negotiator extraordinaire who also happens to be her dad's protégé. With this being a @tessabaileyisanauthor novel, you know it is packed with steam, spice, and everything nice! This has been my favorite of the series so far!

Narration could have been better to be honest.

the storyline was pretty good, actually.. at some point kind of cliche but HEY I'm all in for that. of course we love a playboy dealing in love with the good girl. KUDOS

the narration bothered me some, really. I almost dropped off the book several times because of it .

It was a nice listen.

Erotic Novel

I love all Tessa Bailey books! I love her writing. My only complaint is that the narrator didn’t have a good way of differentiating the different characters. If there had been both a male and a female narrator, there might have been a greater possibility I could’ve understand who is speaking by the tone of voice.

Playboy laid low

Even though this features a jilted woman finding a new love within days of arriving in NY, this story still worked for me. I think it was because the contrivances were well balanced with humor, heat, and and a nice extended cast in Story’s hospitalized dad and her BFF (who gets her own HEA in the next book).

This book’s Danny isn’t quite as much of a dom as the previous two MCs, but you’ll still get the author’s trademark character traits of men big on dirty talk and being jealous at boo. For a shorter book, this leaned a bit too far into the angst, with his violent foster kid past and her relationship insecurity.
But again, it is a shorter (and currently free) book, so on the whole the romance Carrie’s the day.

Didn't want this book to end.

I'm still reeling from the emotions that this book brought out in me. the chemistry between the characters was out of this world, and the love they found was absolutely beautiful. for me, this was the best in the series yet. thank you Miss Bailey for this beautiful book.
