Great characters

If you like military sci-fi spec fic with a dash of sapphic romance, this book is for you. It’s got heart, emotional damage, and a fascinating world that will have you dying for the next one.

It usually takes me a while to get thru books, what with my neurospicy brain and all. But I blew through this book in days, I couldn’t stop. The story and characters are so intriguing, Lee creates a universe that you can fall into and stay there. I can’t wait for the next book!

S. J. Lee continues to impress with a story that features a surprisingly realistic/easy-to-empathize-with cast who defy easy military SF stereotypes. Strong personalities, disparate motivations, and the ongoing evolution of each individual on the team make Of Abrasion feel shockingly grounded for all the genetically enhanced Altered and science fictional technology that we encounter. For gamers, Mass Effect 2 is a good comparison for this one. Definitely looking forward to more!
