Decades of war have caused dimensional tears to open across the world, formally called Voids. The lands and people succumb to decay and darkness surrounding these Voids, and any with holy mana who dare enter the fray are swallowed by the corruption.

In their most desperate hour, the Congregation forges a new hero, one without an ounce of holiness in them. Using forbidden, dark magic, Captain Maddock is risen to fight for the kingdom once more, specifically those who slayed him. Little did the Congregation know that the power they used to revive him could create an enemy far more powerful than anything the Void contains.
