Publisher's summary
What is the role and importance of nutrition in the development, management and recovery from Covid-19? This book takes us through findings that NNEdPRO Global Institute's Covid-19 international task force members have provided our medical community through and beyond the pandemic.
As with all aspects of COVID-19, ongoing research yields more new information each day and it is difficult to keep pace with novel findings. Nonetheless there are core topics worthy of continued discussion in the context of nutrition in healthcare. We discuss specifics of how a balanced dietary pattern that supports overall health remains the core principle of dietary advice, as well as dive into relevant research regarding immune system, primary prevention, and nutrition.
This book is written to help bring nutrition into active focus for medical practitioners, health & wellness professionals, and fitness and nutritional experts looking to fill professional knowledge gaps in this arena. We've also written this book and corresponding audiobook with consideration to people living with chronic immune and health issues, as well as their caregivers, who may looking to fill their gaps in credible knowledge foundations regarding our immune systems and nutrition.
Although this book is focused on the relationship between Covid and nutrition, we believe that you will be able to learn and deepen your awareness as to the importance and role of nutrition beyond Covid.
