Publisher's summary

Having defended Moon Wolf Citadel from the super guild, Ragnarok, and carved out a place for himself in Nova Terra, Thorn stands on top of the fantasy world.

But Nova Terra is not as simple as it seemed. Thorn quickly discovers that the political leaders in the capital of Northern Angoril are turning jealous eyes on him. The young Titan is forced to take a step back, beset by complications on every side. With players flocking to Greymane Valley the pressure of ruling the Wolfkin grows, not helped by Ragnarok’s unrelenting attempts to destroy his fledgling guild. Balancing the threats to Greymane Valley, pressures from an aggressive super-guild, and his own need to rebuild relationships with his reformed team, Thorn must step up in a way he has never before, or risk everything he has built falling apart.

Under the continent of Angoril an ancient race stirs. Courdum the Stone King has woken and desires to reforge his empire. The evil mage gathers his cursed brethren and the Stone Legion is on the march.

Narrator did a good job.

I quit with 2.5 hours left. I can't deal with anymore talking up of how good Ragnarok is. It makes no sense with the relative power levels displayed in the story up to this point.

OP!!!

Forget all the haters out there. I love this series. Reminds me of my own MMO characters. Grinding away 100's of hours to see how powerful they can become. Can not wait to see how much more Thorn can achieve. Love it!!!

Great story

As the first two have built up the characters and the world they "live" in, this third chapter brings together all of this. At the same time the weakness that have built up in Thorn are coming to light as the rival guild adds more insult and injury to his life. The ending will leave you speechless and wanting to know what comes next.

Amazing storyline, completely immersive, and addictive.

Seth Ring is an Amazing Storyteller and the performance just amplified that story tenfold. Grabbed the first two as part of the included with audible subscription benefit. I’m now paying for every book in the series! Highly recommended for any fiction fan—not just fantasy.

Story slowed down in pace and felt repetitive.

it felt like the entire book was focusing on teaching Thorne the same lesson over and over. I really enjoyed the first three books, but the amount of repetitive underestimation of Ragnarok and the trope of "I am a new player," just felt too stale. I really want to like this series, but there are some short comings that need to be addressed in the writing. I will keep listening as I have high hopes for the author over all.

No epilogue in any of the Audiobooks?

So far I have listened to three of these books, and not a single one of these audiobooks has the epilogue it’s in the Kindle edition. I have to go to the Kindle edition of the books in order to get the missing pieces. It’s not in the audiobook. Why is that?

sharp downturn

I enjoyed the first two books but this one I couldn't get through. It just turns into how strong and great thorn is and everyone thinks he's so great, very boring. I also don't see how or why I'm supposed to care about Ragnarok when thorn always just dumps on them like it's nothing. they talk them up so much and then they are handled no problem. very disappointed.

As predictable an a McDonald’s menu

The first 2 books we’re free and quite fun. So I used a credit for book 3 and was disappointed. The story was more like playing an RPG with cheat codes. If you could get book 3 & 4 it might be with the credit. Everyone likes mindless entertainment :-) story has so much potential I really wish he took advantage and made it something more than Big Guy Kicks butt.

meh

I listened to the 1st two books bc they were free. Unfortunately, I can't see myself spending a credit per 13H book for the rest of the 7 books in the series. I listen to A LOT of Audible, a 13H book would last 2 days, 3 max. That being said, it's not a bad series. The MC is not the greatest but not annoying either. he's a little overpowered but only in 1 area, and it's believable, so it's fine. his personality isn't a constant contradiction.
The overall story isn't anything unique, but it's written well.
The Bad.
The Narrator, he is definitely not the worst I've heard, but I think this story would have benefited from a different narrator. one a little more enthusiastic, bit more range maybe. idk, it just seemed a little dull, I guess. Basically, I listened to book 2, it ended, I didn't have another book lined up so, I restarted the 2nd book and there were 2 or 3 parts of that I actually remember listening to.
That is my only real complaint, that and the fact that it's broken down into tiny little 10H books w/o being put into a bundle.
