Not Your Parents' Workplace shares an intimate account of the highs and lows I've experienced as a young professional, including what it was like to go through the largest bankruptcy in history and how I bounced back from getting laid off. But more importantly, it teaches insightful lessons that will help you find your dream job and be successful in your career.
I've always been passionate about career management. Throughout the years I've helped countless young people develop the skills they've needed to find a great job. Through personal experience and the experiences of others, I've learned what it takes to succeed.
I believe the stories and lessons shared in this book will help interns and young professionals learn how to proactively manage their careers and find success in the new business world.

Must read for the modern career navigator
For anyone navigating the career landscape, Tanner provides practical and insightful lessons. His narrative approach makes the advice so accessible and easy to remember so as to draw on later. It's also just a fun read (or listen). I found myself chuckling or smirking at some of Tanner's career experiences -- in part because his experiences and private thoughts are the type of experiences and thoughts I felt in launching a career. Tanner gets it right. Highly recommend.
