Publisher's Summary

Eoin Grant hasn't encountered a female of his race in decades, and this crazy person's scent declares her unmated. Fate set her in his path, and he won't let this opportunity slip through his claws. No matter how wary she is of him. After all, how many chances does a dragon have at finding love? But fate can be a crueler mistress than his perfect mate. Of all things, she thinks she's human.

Business is taking off for Angie Weldon. She put her freakishly sharp nails to good use when she opened her back-scratching spa in downtown New Porter City. The local shifter community pounced on her skills, and she's knee-deep in shed fur. By the end of the year, if lucky, she could afford to move out of her crappy apartment.

Dollar signs flash before Angie's eyes when a dark, brooding stranger books her solid for a week, but she notices the possessive fury in his glare. She's been around enough shifters to know the look, and she won't go down that road again. Angie is literally swept off her feet by the intense shifter, and he wants more from her than she's willing to give. She figures it's best to avoid eye contact and back away slowly. Until he changes her life by insisting she's a dragon.

Good story, would prefer a different narrator.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would but it wouldn't be my first choice as a recommendation. The narrator seemed to read/portray the dialogue differently than I had interpreted it when originally reading the book.

What three words best describe Diane Lehman’s performance?

Not my favorite performance. The book itself is great but the way the narrator portrayed the main character was a bit too annoying for me and I had to take frequent breaks when it got to be too much.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I highly enjoyed the story itself and would recommend reading the book instead over listening to it.

I enjoyed it. I wish there was more.

I want to know more!! It feels incomplete with the story ending without knowing her past when the author spends so much time on it. I did enjoy the story though and thought the narrator did a fine job.

Not His Dragon

This is a cute story of a young woman who has opened her own form of massage spa. She has the nails and the desire to do good. One day she is intercepted by Eoin Grant, a dragon who runs the town. She pepper sprays him. He gets pissed and chases here. Then he discovers her smell, dragon smell. There hasn't been a female dragon in many years. From this encounter Eoin has to try to convince Angie that she is a dragon not human. Eoin is an artist and is totally off kilter in his art. His manager and the art curator insist he try something different. So between learning a new medium he needs to contend with how he feels towards Angie.
This is a cute story of denial and love...there are moments of humor and moments of love.

Too cute not to listen to

Sweet story with narration that makes you want to continue listening. In fact. I want to experience more by this author and narrator. It’s going to be one I will enjoy listening to many times.

Funny and dangerous times for dragon shifter Eoin and human? Angie.

Is Angie a dragon shifter or not. Eoin is positive she is, but Angie doubts it. Two other male dragons try to steal Angie, but Eoin will not give up on his possible mate.

Set Narration Speed to 90 & and you should be ok

So the story itself is great, my problem with the narration is that the narrator just speaks to quickly. I even thought I was going to have to return it and read it on my Kindle but after I reduce the narration speed to .90 it was fine. She even did good job with the different accents for the different characters. I'd definitely recommend it to a friend and have already downloaded the other books in the series to my Kindle.

Happy Reading y'all :)

Loved it!

This is a wonderful, feel good, romantic story. This was my second time reading the story, while listening to it for the first time. The story is one that I will read and read again. I love paranormal romance and Dragon shifters are my favorite. At first I wasn't sure about the narration, but as I listened and gave the narrator a chance, I think she did a great job in bringing life to the characters and the story. I would recommend this story and audible book to anyone who loves a romance that will make you smile and warm your heart. Happy reading and listening! :) HLH
