Kill all or be killed.

Would you listen to The Weird Circle again? Why?

I might, this was an interesting listen.

Would you recommend The Weird Circle to your friends? Why or why not?

This story is about a Corsican family Ginerva and her father who move to France after Ginerva's mother is killed by the Porter family. Her father then kills all the Porters.

This story is not De Maupassant's story but Honore Balzac's. I checked on Wikipedia.

Ginerva grows up and falls in love with a Napoleonic soldier hiding in her art teacher's attic. He just happens to be the last Porter in his family alive.

Her father finds out and feels that if Ginerva marries him, he must kill them both to be true to his oath of the vendetta.

What about the narrator’s performance did you like?

This was a radio play, so several actors played parts including a landlady that sounded like Bette Davis.

Well done acting.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The end. All I can say.
