Not worth it

Perhaps as a intro to Norse mythology for children. Minimalistic information an 1/2 stories.

Great book but a bit repetitive

This was an amazing book and I loved hearing about all aspects of Norse Mythology, although the book itself is repetitive and tends to tell the same stories over and over

Exactly what I've been looking for!

I usually don't like to listen to a book being read but this was actually a very pleasant experience.

Excellent primer

Haven’t read Norse mythology in many years. This was a terrific primer with an introduction naming each deity with a synopsis of their importance before telling a few stories.

The language beautifully descriptive.

exactly what I was looking for

So damn good! Well written, simple to follow, and the lady reading it was so soothing. I listened to it while falling asleep AND while working on my performance that involves Norse mythology. Well done!

 Very Interesting

The stories have the perfect balance of adventure, drama, and humor. Mythology gathers some best stories produced by mankind, in all cultures. This is a great collection of Norse mythology.

fabulous job of updating the tales

These stories capture the riddle of our species. That riddle is completely entangled in our ability to engage in reflective thought and self reference and when coupled with our ability to share our most convoluted thought patterns with each other what emerges is our sense of self and species.

the author’s Gods with a modern touch

Anna tells the tales in a voice that smoothly transitions from epic narrative to plainspoken facts and back again. An enjoyable book, the author’s Gods with a modern touch that makes their personalities and wit as accessible to a listener as if you were a child at a campfire, listening to ghost stories.

A brilliant collection of Norse stories

A brilliant collection of Norse stories retold with an ear for entertainment. I didn't know what to expect. Maybe a dry non-fiction narrative, however, this collection was anything but. Very coherently structured and culminating in the Norse "end of days" lore. A nice, short read. Great for anyone who likes Fantasy, Historical Fiction, and especially Kory fans.
