Publisher's Summary

Few American presidents stand as such vivid personalities in our history as Theodore Roosevelt. Through this selection of quotations and excerpts, drawn from his speeches, articles, letters, and other writing, this vibrant thinker, politician, outdoorsman, and more relays his passionate feelings on a wide array of subjects. Provided by topic and in chronological order, Roosevelt’s quotations show his evolving beliefs on everything from the strenuous life to the bully pulpit, childhood to imperialism, religion to his daughter, Alice. Throughout, the modern listener comes to understand how Roosevelt saw deeply into American society and its problems, and willed the people to mobilize and deal with issues head on.

A Bit Of A Disappointment.

When I saw the title of this audio book 'The Wisdom Of Theodore Roosevelt', my ears perked up. I thought that I was going to purchase an audio book about Theodore Roosevelt's leadership principles. And even though there were some interesting points mentioned in this audio book, it was mostly about Theodore Roosevelt's view points on political matters.

At the beginning of the audio book you get a brief (and I emphasis 'brief') history of Theodore Roosevelt's life. Then the rest of the the audio book is nothing but quotes and speeches made by Theodore Roosevelt. Bo Foxworth narrated the audio book beautifully.

If you're into politics (which I'm not) then this audio book is right for you. I welcome any suggestions for books about Theodore Roosevelt's life which demonstrates his leadership abilities, which I can purchase and read. Thank you for taking the time to read my review.
