Publisher's summary

From the author of Popular Economics comes a surprisingly sunny projection of America's future job market.

Forget the doomsday predictions of sour-faced nostalgists who say automation and globalization will take away your dream job. The job market is only going to get better and better, according to economist John Tamny, who argues in The End of Work that the greatest gift of prosperity, beyond freedom from painful want, is the existence of work that is interesting.

Life advice for anyone looking for work

John's book was a blessing to listen to every single minute. He filled the book from cover to cover with hundreds of examples of all the new kinds of work that are available as a result of the US and the World's increasing prosperity.

The books main message is that no matter what you like to do, there are so many ways to make a living that within even a few short years you'll never have to 'work' another day in your life.

Not inspiring

I wanted to like this book as I transition from one career to another, but it was mostly about professional athletes, actors, musicians, and other famous people. If you are looking for a career in sports, you may enjoy this book, but I’m never gonna be in the NFL.
