Publisher's summary

Somewhat a controversial topic nowadays the issue of gun control has become increasingly prevalent as more and more incidences of children using guns have come to the fore. As such the book Say No To Guns: Why Gun Control Will Solve Our Problems is well timed as it addresses some of the main issues. It delves right into the current situation in the United States and also compares it to the United Kingdom.

This is a topic that will be a hot topic for quite a while and as it is an international concern it is best to be apprised of the situation as it can affect anybody at all. The author leaves you to form your own opinion at the end of it all. Sure persons have a right to bear arms but to what extent does it get out of control and require the intervention of the government? All of this and more can be found in the book. Whether you are pro or anti gun control you will learn a lot from the book.

The chapters flow from on to the next and really leave no stone unturned in the saga of gun control. It is relevant and important.

child like exploration of the subject

not very well informed, full of anti-gun hype. not worth your time. doesn't have upto date too, even asks if cops should have guns.

Theres more to the problem though..

Violence is only the symptom of a problem. We need to focus on the illness, and try to understand what causes behavioral problems.....but this is very hard work. We can start with ourselves, and study the impact we each have on the world around us.
Mastering our own selves is the greatest challenge anyone can undertake, we owe that to the kids.

"Ignorance in control"

Uninformed and a few outright lies. Same old anti civil rights, implies law abiding citizens are a danger, attempts to make said law abiding firearm owners out as criminals. Not with poo Ruth your time m e, and especial l y not worth actual money.

Very good information

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes and no. The book was very good at showing both sides of the story, but the narration was pretty difficult to get past at times.

What didn’t you like about Jen Dempsey’s performance?

At times she sounded like a realllllly bubbly news anchor; other times like a very bored airline stewardess. Her style did not match the topic.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. If I had stopped listening, I don't know that I ever would've gotten started again.

Any additional comments?

I bought this book for an English Comp assignment, and to get a crash-course into the gun control argument. The author did an excellent job of showing both sides of the argument; although at times I did not agree with the argument.

I will definitely use the knowledge I gained.
