Publisher's Summary

Social justice warriors have plagued mankind for more than 150 years, but only in the last 30 years has their ideology become dominant in the West. Having invaded one institution of the cultural high ground after another, from corporations and churches to video games and government, there is nowhere that remains entirely free of their intolerant thought and speech policing. Because the SJW agenda of diversity, tolerance, inclusiveness, and equality flies in the face of both science and observable reality, SJWs relentlessly work to prevent normal people from thinking or speaking in any manner that will violate their ever-mutating narrative. They police science, philosophy, technology, and even history in order to maintain the pretense that their agenda remains inevitable in a modern world that contradicts it on a daily basis. SJWs Always Lie is a useful guide to understanding, anticipating, and surviving SJW attacks from the perspective of a man who has not only survived, but thrived, after experiencing multiple attempts by Social Justice Warriors to disqualify, discredit, and dis-employ him in the same manner they have successfully attacked Nobel Laureates, technology CEOs, broadcasters, sports commentators, school principals, and policemen. It analyzes well-known SJW attacks as well as the two most successful examples of resistance to the SJW narrative, #GamerGate and Sad Puppies. Written by Vox Day, Supreme Dark Lord of the Evil Legion of Evil and three-time Hugo nominee who is described as the most hated man in science fiction by Black Gate and The Wall Street Journal, SJWs Always Lie is a powerful weapon in the cultural war against the thought police.

    "Good Introduction to Informal Propaganda"

This book is a very good recap of the Gamergate controversy. Vox Day's experiences were entertaining, and eye-opening, revealing that modern SJWs are lacking in maturity and have little experience in dealing with conflict. His three rules of SJWs reflect on how to deal with such persons. (For more information, read Saul Alinksy's 'Rules for Radicals', and Edward Bernay's 'Propaganda'.) Vox Day has discovered nothing new, however, but simply shows us the same old tactics in a new venue, the online world, applied against him.

However, far too much of the book expounds on Vox Day's personal issues against his opponents in the science fiction industry. He is not very conscious that his own tactics in his fight in that arena were similar to those of his SJW opponents. Further, there is far to much bald reading of emails and comments in the book, making listening to it a chore. The narrator is slow, so I suggest listening to it at 1.25x speed.

There is not much objective analysis of events, and little self-reflection on Vox's own conduct, and how it might have contributed to his woes. Overall, a good recap for someone wanting to see how victim identity politics and small scale propaganda play out online, but it can be tedious and shallow at times.

A well written and fascinating account into the world of social justice warriors and their sleazy, unethical, dishonest, mean-spirited tactics. A must read.

    "Vox shows the way forward"

Anyone who wants to understand today's politics and the politics of the future needs to read this book. It's especially useful for those on the Right (I won't use the deeply tarnished word 'conservative,' here, looking for a clearer path forward in a world whose institutions are infiltrated or completely dominated by the Left.

"Feisty Anti-SJW warrior diatribe. Worth it."

I purchased this on a lark. I did know who Vox Day was but I had heard of them. I kinda sorta knew what an SJW was. At first I thought he was a bit thin-skinned, going on and on about picking a fight with author John Scalzi about his boasts of number of visitors to his blog. Really? Who cares? I was getting unhappy. But I kept listening and didn't regret it.

Vox Day clearly is a tenacious SOB, perhaps not always in a good way. But I think he is absolutely right about SJWs. He made a brilliant point about SJWs putting their little leftist priorities ahead of everything else, including their employers. They are willing to drive any business or institution into the ground for some ill-defined narrative.

I call it a narrative instead of an ideology or a cause, because honestly there doesn't seem to be any intellectual content, just some kind of vague claims about diversity and tolerance. But there is one thing I do know from person experience, that some liberals have zero tolerance for anybody that doesn't at least smile and nod to whatever pronouncements they make.

If this book has a flaw, it was that he spend little or no time explaining what an SJW was. Why are their SJW's now when there weren't any around for most of my lifetime? What generates SJWs? Are they the new 'church ladies'? Are they part of some conspiracy?

I at least now have a better understanding of what GamerGate actually is/was. Vox Day is clearly intelligent and perceptive, but I think he could have done a better job with this book. I should have been enthralled and wanting to know more rather than ready to shut it off after the first few chapters. I gave it 5 stars for being a unique book that made me think, however.

    "Thought provoking."

Anyone who has had to deal with SJWs, either in person or online, knows how unpleasant it can be. This book is basically the instruction manual with how to deal with them, sort of an update to Ann Coulters How to talk to a liberal, if you must. IN this case, Vox shows how the current climate of fear mongering by the SJW's has stifled free speech, and led to ploticians that are more worried about not offending someone than doing their jobs, the rise of Cliquish message fic in Sci Fi/fantasy writing and the creation of a confirmation bias echo chamber of though ruled by the SJW's. Since Vox doesnt care about all that, he has cut through all the garbage and set out the action plan for dealing with these people. Listen well, since this will set you free, especially now that Hillary has been defeated and we stand of the precipice of either America rising again, or falling into the dustbin of history.
As far as narration, Bob Allen does a great job keeping the narrative moving along, keeping the listener interested.

    "Easy listening"

I really enjoyed the book and found it very engaging. I don't agree with elements of the book, but I appreciate the craft of the author. What I appreciate most is that he has given me several different categories to think in, which is very useful.

I have no heart for the scorched earth tactics put forth in the book, but I tend to experience a dark thrill of Schadenfreude when I see others use it against groups and organizations I deride privately.

"I'm even more against Social Justice now"

This book just reconfirmed everything I'd observed about"SJWs" for the past few years. I'll never trust them nor sympathize with ever again. I'm disgusted that they would use my skin color as a means of furthering their own illogical ideologies and even more angry that claim to care about blacks when they merely see us as a tool to gain more influence in this country. I stand with Vox Day, Gamer Gate, and any other movements that seem to undermine Social Justice.

"Finally Someone Who Get's It Right!"
Would you listen to SJWs Always Lie again? Why?

Yes I will gladly listen to this again because SJW's are a growing menace in our world. The Modern day Red Scare only this time it's powered by the media and popular myth. There is much more to know.

What did you like best about this story?

I knew nothing about Gamergate. Something about the common narrative did not make sense and motivations did not add up. This also applied to the Hugo award issues. I heard about it in the media but something always seemed wrong about what I was heading. This book explains the why and the how these two battles for truth, liberty and free speech I feel will only be the start of an ongoing war.

What does Bob Allen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Good, solid voice, he catches the humor and yet delivers the serious elements as well.

If you could give SJWs Always Lie a new subtitle, what would it be?

The truth you will never hear from the media"

    Any additional comments?

Inspiring me to make changes in my own life.

"Entertaining & educative but won't save your bacon"

The book is very entertaining and informative. It’s also a call to war of sorts. I must say however that the advice provided is only really useful if you have a way (that is, if you are cleaver and proactive enough) to work independently and be your own boss. For the dim type pullulating in academic jobs the advice is of no much use. Leaving quietly or with a big bang won’t be of much consolation when you fail making a living other than by stacking boxes in a supermarket or worst. For the vast majority of us it is just bending our backs and passively sabotaging the system like the Good Soldier Švejk.
