Publisher's summary

This meticulously researched and thrilling exploration of the otherworldly will challenge your idea of reality. Mysterious wolf-people, sentient mists, and UFOs....

If you've ever heard a curious bump in the night, caught a glimpse of a strange-looking someone (or something) out of the corner of your eye, or seen an unusual craft dart across the sky before it vanished without a trace, there's only one person to call: Linda S. Godfrey. An expert in strange creatures and lore, she has offered reporting on bigfoots, werewolves, strange energy forms, and other bizarre beings for years.

Godfrey will enthrall even skeptics as she leads you through the mystical, legendary, and scientific angles of these creatures and the myths that surround them. In this audiobook, you will encounter first-hand testimony of a terrifying transformation from woman to beast (during a church service, no less); the Lost Lizard People of Los Angeles; a growling, phantom-like home invader; wolfmen who walk on two legs; and people stalked by invisible predators.

Delivering a broad mix of modern-day and historical sightings, and supported by Godfrey's interviews with eyewitnesses, Monsters Among Us is a must-listen for anyone hunting for the real accounts behind their childhood campfire stories.

Monsters among us

This is a fairly entertaining read, though not particularly well researched nothing uncommon to the average monster fan...still an enjoyable rear overall!

things that go bump in the night.

Great real life encounters of supernatural dogs, will have you looking at mans best friend differently. I am a first time reader of Linda S Godfrey and she does an amazing job telling the audience of what she have witnessed. Bad news is...the monsters in the book are ALL werewolf themed, with a title like "Monsters among us" you think she would mean all types of monsters not just one.

Needs better narrator. many words mis- pronounced.

Wish it was read with a little more emotion. The narrator was not family with the subject matter.
it sounded like a report instead of a book.

Tries to sound unbiased but misses

I thought Emily did a good job on the narration. The subject I have always found fascinating however, she wanted to make it seem as if she was open minded on the subject and wanted to look at all the angles. She obviously had one take even though I only found maybe 10% of the stories couldn't be written off as most likely right in between Dream and waking which means most likely dreamt. Some of the stories I would love to see investigated because they rang true.

Stories you haven't already heard a hundred times

I enjoyed the entire book. If you take these people for their word these accounts give a different narrative than the old one being pounded down our throat.

Excellent analysis and well read

Excellent analysis by author has me buying her her other works now. She is methodical, professional, complete on giving both possible mundane reasons as well as open minded to new thought processes yet she also can keep it entertaining. There isn't a dry part to this work of hers.
The narrator did an excellent job and I will be watching out for her works on other authors as well. She kept the tempo on hood speed, was able to make me feel like the author was talking directly to me.

Fascinating material which is well-researched. She covers it all! Great narration, too. More creatures please!

Well Written/Well Read Accounts of High Strangeness

Linda Godfrey put a lot of time and effort into this book. It’s well documented and each account is summarized with bullet points to help compare the similarities of events. She does an excellent job of tying it all together, where the impossible starts to seem plausible. I want more!
