This is fun and true and good for kids to know

This is a very cute and true book about animals being saved from going to slaughterhouses but it is narrated in an exciting and warm was for kids to learn about animals. The author has a warm heart and really loves animals and the reader does to. You can tell! The stories are true and the information about farm shelters is really good, too. This is probably good for middle school kids or to be read to little kids, too.

Animal stories for kids to listen to with parents

This is true stories of animals who were destined for slaughter and who managed to escape and end up in good long lives. The idea of slaughterhouses might be disturbing to really little children but the reader doesn't make them sound frightening and each story ends well. Reader has a really good voice for thes kind of stories and the overall message is good for kids to learn. The animals and the humans who help them escape are read with warmth and humor and my kids were excited about some of the stories and the funny and interesting ways they got away. Good audiobook with a good message for kids maybe five and up. and there's information for grownups too at the end!
