Publisher's summary

COURAGE > COWARDS

As we approach the most important presidential election in America’s history, something has been lost among all of the debates, attack ads, and super- PACs - something that Americans used to hold in very high regard: THE TRUTH.

Glenn Beck likes to say that “the truth has no agenda” - but there’s another side to that: people who have agendas rarely care about the truth. And, these days, it seems like everyone has an agenda. The media leads with stories that rate over those that matter. Politicians put lobbyists and electability over honesty. Radicals alter history in order to change the future.

In Cowards, Glenn Beck exposes the truth about 13 important issues that have been hijacked by deceit. Whether out of spite, greed, or fear, these are the things that no one seems to be willing to have an honest conversation about. For example:

  • How our two-party political system often leaves voters with no good options.
  • How extremists are slowly integrating Islamic law into our society.
  • How progressive “religious” leaders like Jim Wallis are politicizing the Bible.
  • How the cartel violence on our border is far worse than people realize.
  • How “Libertarian” has been intentionally turned into a dirty word.
  • How George Soros has amassed enough money and power to influence entire economies.

In some cases, the truth is out there, but people simply don’t want to hear it. It’s much easier, and certainly a lot more convenient, to keep our blinders on. After all, as a quote attributed to President James Garfield made clear, “The truth will set you free, but first it will make you miserable.”

Miserable or not, the truth can no longer be something we hope for; it must be something we live. When courage prevails, cowards do not - and this book was written to ensure that’s exactly what happens.

Guess what... Its by Glenn Beck!!

Here is the obvious two cents for anybody. This book is incredibly conservative or politically to the right. I've always enjoyed the author and have always enjoyed the subject matter. He covers quite a bit of politics but some fun science stuff towards the end. If you don't like Glenn Beck and if you're not politically conservative or libertarian then you probably won't like this book very much. However I suggest you read it anyway because he does make some really good points and the authors for the most part is very entertaining.

Ron McLarty is Narration Satan.

After trying twice to listen to this, I never want to hear Ron McLarty torture another word. He manages to pronounce "Libertarian" in such a way as to add several syllables to the word while removing my will to live. I actually had to get hard copy and read this myself so I could figure out if the book was, in fact, any good.

If you have experience with Ron McLarty's narration, and don't find his voice and pronunciation more horrifying than the wails of dying children, then "Cowards" might be worth a listen, otherwise avoid the Audio and grab it on Kindle instead.

Brilliant as usual from Glenn Beck

Would you consider the audio edition of Cowards to be better than the print version?

That is a personal preference, although I like to read along as it is read to me. Comprehension is enhanced 3 fold

What did you like best about this story?

What I like best is it's not a story. The truth is spoken

Which character – as performed by Ron McLarty – was your favorite?

N/A

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It's an eye opener!!!

Any additional comments?

In his usual format, Glenn Beck cleans house and exposes the corruption that is fluent in the United States and the world. Wake up America

Glenn's correct, they are cowards!

This is a compilation of themes I've heard Glenn espouse over the years he's been on radio and TV.

Hard Hitting Analysis by a Man Who Walks the Walk!

After having purchased Glenn's Arguing with Idiots I already knew to expect something that was as witty as it was timely...But Cowards went so far beyond my expectations!

For starters let me say that I really believe that this book picks up where Andrew Breitbart's Righteous Indignation left off. However, whereas Andrew's book provided a bird's eye view of the liberal media complex; Beck's book goes a step beyond...

He paints a picture (the 50,000 foot-down version) of the entire battlefield that you can expect to find yourself fighting on-if you're a conservative or a libertarian and Glenn holds no punches.

He doesn't stop with exposing liberals either, he also shines the light on moderate Republicans who stand in the way of protecting our nation's values.

In summary I don't think I've read an Audible title that kept me on the edge of my seat as much as this one did. Well done Mr. Beck!

Cowards is what they are......Beck is correct

Where does Cowards rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Beck always writes a very entertaining book. He clearly makes his case. Too bad more people do not read this book, but some non readers of this book are also cowards and do not want to see that the world is being destroyed. This book is related to todays social and political climate. Ayn Rand's master pieces are similarly poignant, but more likely to be read 50 years from now.

True and Scary!

What did you love best about Cowards?

That someone is truly telling it like it is! He is not afraid to tell the truth as he sees it no matter what his critics think of him. That's a brave thing to do in this day and age.

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

I suppose just knowing and agreeing that this scenario is truth.

What about Ron McLarty’s performance did you like?

He is great but I would have preferred to hear Glenn Beck read it.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No I took my time with it.

Any additional comments?

I have never been disappointed in any books that I have received from Audible.com. You have a huge selection from all genres. Something for everyone.
