Publisher's summary

How can we benefit from the promise of government while avoiding the threat it poses to individual freedom? In this classic book, Milton Friedman provides the definitive statement of his immensely influential economic philosophy - one in which competitive capitalism serves as both a device for achieving economic freedom and a necessary condition for political freedom. The result is an accessible text that has sold well over half a million copies in English, has been translated into 18 languages, and shows every sign of becoming more and more influential as time goes on.

This updated edition includes a new preface by the author.

Must read

I do not think there is a better book as required reading for any high school or college student or any free citizen.

Still Relevant

This book is a this book is a must read. so many of our elected elite continue to look for
the the most expedite solution (throwing money recklessly) rather than finding a path that truly solve the underlying condition.

Great book, horrible narration

As others have said before me, the reader during the sample portion is not the main reader. The main guy is much, much worse.

Audio needs updating

Audio was mid range and terrible when sped up. Concepts were good but Rothbard and Mises have better primers than this. Overall, was a decent introduction. 4 stars.
