The kind of beautiful that graced the covers of romance novels, and Fern Taylor would know. She'd been reading them since she was 13. But maybe because he was so beautiful he was never someone Fern thought she could have...until he wasn't beautiful anymore.

Why we think it’s a great listen: Some books are meant to be read; others are meant to be heard – Water for Elephants falls into the second group, and is one of the best examples we have of how a powerful performance enhances a great story. Nonagenarian Jacob Jankowski reflects back on his wild and wondrous days with a circus. It's the Depression Era and Jacob, finding himself parentless and penniless, joins the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth.

Story
It's just a small story really, about, among other things, a girl, some words, an accordionist, some fanatical Germans, a Jewish fist-fighter, and quite a lot of thievery. Set during World War II in Germany, Markus Zusak's groundbreaking new novel is the story of Liesel Meminger, a foster girl living outside of Munich. Liesel scratches out a meager existence for herself by stealing when she encounters something she can't resist: books.

Sweet and Wonderful
I loved hearing this sweet story. I've loved everything I've ever read of Nicole's and this is just another one to love. I've never heard Kat narrate before that I know of and it was a bit of a surprise hearing a Nicole Garcia book read by only one narrator, but it was still wonderful to listen to. I loved hearing about someone who seemed to have horrible luck in life find someone who would turn that around and make her truly happy.

My Two Pennies
Looking for a holiday read to get you in the Christmas spirit, then this story is for you. Noelle’s past touches on a sensitive but very real subject that makes you stop and think while your heart breaks for her at the same time. This story is so much more then the subject at hand though, this author has built this story into a sweet romantic love story. Roman is a man that has it all except when he realizes there’s one person in particular that he needs to go that extra mile to get the attention of. I adored how persistent he was and hearing their story develop just had me smiling more often then not. Great read and a guaranteed HEA. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

A suprising book that will leave you humble.
What made the experience of listening to Noelle's Wish the most enjoyable?
Yes, I was able to identify myself to Noelle on so many different levels. I did not expect this book to get me so deeply and profoundly, but it did. Wow, what a listening it was!
What other book might you compare Noelle's Wish to and why?
I am thinking more of an anime series. Armitage, where a young female robot is trying to survive in a world where she is not loved by humans. Her story of abandonment, of fighting for her place in this world, only to end up in the arms of a man who truly loves her and, yes, makes her pregnant (futuristic robot stories in Japan are that cool yeah!) reminds me of Noelle and Roman's story. Although the anime doesn't necessarily end as well, it still grips me to the core like no other story does.
Which character – as performed by Kat Marlowe – was your favorite?
I really loved Noelle and Roman. They are both awesome and very well played. I was not able to decide which one I liked most as they are both as loving and kind.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I cried when Noelle remembered her hard childhood and how much all she wanted was for people to love her just the way she is and not have pity on her. I am in that very same spot at this time in my life and that hit a cord, hard, in my heart. I also cried when she described to Roman the torture she went through for three years in the last foster home she lived into and got abused again and again by drug addicts.
Any additional comments?
Wow, this story was not what I had expected and it gripped me to the core. I am happy I was able to get it from the author, Nicole Garcia as a gift. It was really incredible. And the way it was played, was truly moving for me.

Sweet, Holiday Romance!
For me, this is Christmas in July and what a sweet listen this is! Nicole Garcia has a way of writing that I love. She can take an everyday story, make it completely relatable. Noelle, a woman with an abused past is sought after by her wealthy boss, Roman. The two have instant chemistry and Roman's compassion and love are so transparent, you fall in love with this couple immediately. This is a perfect Christmastime story, giving you those warm tingling feelings and a smile to your face.

Sometimes wishes come true
Q- If you could sum up Noelle's Wish in three words, what would they be?
A- Wishes come true
Q- What did you like best about this story?
A- I loved the growth that Noelle goes through within the first few days that she meets Roman, it's beautiful how quickly she can feel safe with someone & trust him enough to tell her story.
Q- Which scene was your favorite?
A- I'm thinking a certain scene in the epilogue.... it just showed how much Noelle had grown once Roman had been in her life.
Q- Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
A- The interraction between Noelle & Roman was filled with tension, but beautiful at the same time... Noelle's past isn't the best, but when Roman gets past her barriers enough for truths to come out, I did find tears in my eyes.
Q- Any additional comments?
A- I loved the whole story, Nicole wrote a beautiful story about growth & Kat narrated it so beautiful, each character had their own voice which made it come to life whilst I was listening.
