Nobody Does It Better Than Lauren Blakley!

Oh Lauren Blakely Audiobook fans are going to love this one, It's things like that shows the audiobook lovers that Lauren love us! In Nobody Does it Better we get a couple of novellas for side characters from past books. I know for me it's like stopping by for a visit with old friends. All of these novellas are short, sweet and sexy.

Nobody Does it Better is Vanessa and Shaw's story from the Lucky in Love series. After finishing Best Laid Plans and The Feel Good Factor I was dying for their story and I was not disappointed. This was just as hot as I expected even if they are stuck in a snow storm. As always, the drama is low and the chemistry high because Vanessa and Shaw have been trying to ignore the pull for what seems like forever, until they just can't resist anymore! The narration for this novella was amazing because well Joe Arden and Erin Mallon with cameos from Carly Robins, Savannah Peachwood, Virgina Rose and Jason Clark, does it get any better than that??

Next up we have Once Upon a Red Hot Kiss which is Macy & Kirby's romance from the Heartbreakers Series. I loved the Heartbreakers series so much so I was beyond happy to get to dive back into that world for a little while. Macy and Kirby are sweet and were great side characters that deserved their own novella! Listening to Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke bring these characters to life was perfect.

Then comes Too Good To Be True, this is a novella for Come as You Are. In this one we have Olivia and Herb, Olivia is Flynn's sister. It's been awhile since I listened to Come As You Are and after listening to this story, I think I need a re-listen very soon! I enjoyed Herb and Olivia's story very much! Narrated by RC Bray and Andi Arndt, both amazing narrators and they fit these characters perfectly.

Last but never least we have Caught Up in Her finally on audio! This is a novella from the Caught Up in Love series. This is a best friend's sister love story that just had to happen. I loved this book when I read it but I adored it when I listened to it. Adding the narration from Jason Clarke and Carly Robins added another star to this one for me.

As always, I loved this entire audiobook because...well... Lauren is my spirit animal! She knows exactly what I need, giving us stories with very low drama, very high chemistry, mature characters and lots of steam! She is one of my favorite authors. I used to read her books before I got into audio but once I listened to an audiobook of hers I knew I'd found my author soul mate ;)

I love novellas because they can be enjoyed on their own as a quick and fun read, or they can add another layer to an existing story by giving a deeper history or perspective. Not only do listeners get the novella Nobody Does it Better on this audiobook, but they also get FOUR additional novellas as well! This audiobook is jam packed with extras! Nobody Does It Better is a sweet, low drama, and sexy best friend's brother novella. I appreciated that there wasn't a lot of angst or drama in this one and it let the story really focus on the connection between Shaw and Vanessa. And connect they did! ;) I loved hearing Joe Arden and Erin Mallon bring Shaw and Vanessa's story to life. Joe Arden is perfectly playful and sexy as Shaw and he fit the character so well. The special narrator cameos for the Book Club Ladies was a great treat as well!

The fun doesn't stop at the conclusion of Shaw and Vanessa's story though! Next, listeners get the novella Once Upon a Red Hot Kiss, which tells the story of Kirby and Macy, who we met in the Heartbreakers series. Jason Clarke narrates with Erin Mallon this time and oh my his voice is damn sexy! It's a prequel novella to Once Upon A Sure Thing and is a short and sweet friends to lovers romance.

Next up is Too Good To Be True which is a prequel novella to Come As You Are and tells the story of Herb and Olivia. It's narrated by Andi Arndt and RC Bray and is an instalove romance that has our hero and heroine falling fast and hard. These two connect so quickly (how cute was their shared love of puzzles/games?!) that it leaves them wondering if what they feel really is too good to be true.

Caught Up in Her comes next and is the prequel/backstory to Bryan and Kat's story from Caught Up in Us. This best friend's little sister romance tells the story of how these two met, shared a glorious summer together, and how it all led to heartbreak. Jason Clarke and Carly Robins were outstanding and really made me want to find out what happens when Bryan and Kat meet again 5 years later in Caught Up in Us.

Listeners get a final treat with Little Big Rock, which is a prequel novella to Big Rock and features Charlotte's POV. It's a fun novella that gives more backstory to Charlotte and Spencer's friendship/relationship. It's a delight to listen to and has Andi Arndt, Sebastian York, Joe Arden, and Erin Mallon all performing.

You really can't beat this all star cast of narrators! There's a novella for everyone and this really is a treat for your ears and is certainly worth a credit!

Fun, flirty and sexy!

When it comes to forbidden romances nobody does them better than Lauren Blakely. I'm such a sucker for the whole best friend's sibling trope and I was just chomping at the bit for Vanessa and Shaw's story. This story left me with such a smile on my face. I laughed and swooned and definitely had to fan myself from the heat these two generated.

I loved getting to know more about Vanessa. She's fun, sweet and loyal-almost to a fault. She's the kind of woman everyone wants to be friends with. I loved seeing her put herself out there and own up to feelings she tried to ignore.

Shaw? Well, Shaw just made me grin. He's funny but has a sexy streak a mile wide. I could definitely picture him front and center on a fireman's calendar with a smolder, then laughing it up with the photographer after. I liked him and really respected him. Watching him finally go after Vanessa made me cheer.

I loved watching these two dance around each other. Their banter was was fun and flirty and the longing between them to be something more was so palpable. I would have cheered when they finally acted on their feelings but I was too busy fanning myself. Their sexy times were, well, sexy. Their relationship outside the bedroom was just as important to them and I enjoyed watching them figure out if they could really have it all with each other.

Catching up with friends from other books always makes me grin. The book club ladies in this book? Well, I hope to be half as fun as they are when I'm their age. I just adored them. It was nice to catch up with Arden and Perri and their men as well. I'd like to live in this book world and just be friends with all these characters!

The writing and pacing in this book just flowed seamlessly. I was hooked from the very first page and didn't want it to end-even though I read it in one sitting because I didn't want to put it down. That's what this Author's writing does for me. It creates the perfect escape.

The audio of this book is fantastic! If you aren't an audio fan, I urge you to give this book a listen. The performances were just spot on. I love how these narrators work together to deliver this story! Also? There's novellas with the audio that you WON'T want to miss-I'm still re-listening to them and swooning all over again. Once Upon A Red Hot Kiss was performed to perfection! So very hot and sexy! Too Good To Be True left me grinning; I think the narrators nailed it here. I loved R.C. Bray as Herb!!! This story was just fun for me to hear and I couldn't stop smiling....and wanting Herb to eat pancakes.

Last but not least, we got to listen to Caught Up In Her. This book is just a special book to me-it gave me one of my very first Blakely boyfriends. Jason Clark absolutely brought him to life for me! I loved finally hearing this on audio.

I loved every moment of these books. I'd highly recommend these audios!

Lauren that's who! Not only is she my favorite author, Lauren Blakely's audios are my favorites. She knows exactly how to write romance, pick fantastic narrators and make us fall in love!
Nobody Does it Better is Lauren Blakely's newest sexy, fun, sweet novella. We know both Shaw and Vanessa from Best Laid Plans and The Feel Good Factor. Shaw is Perri's brother and Vanessa is her best friend. They've known each other since they were kids and Perri made it very clear that Vanessa is off limits. Shaw has had a thing for Vanessa since high school, but because he loves his sister, he never made a move. Until he hears she has a date. It's now or never time. Once Upon a Red Hot Kiss is a Macy and Kirby's story. They were secondary characters from the Heartbreakers series and I loved them and I'm so glad they got a story. It's short, sweet and oh so sexy! Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon were so fantastic. Jason's voice just gives me major tingles and he was the perfect Kirby.

Too Good to Be True is Olivia and Herb's story from Come as You Are! Olivia is Flynn's sister and I just loved her. Herb and Olivia's story is fun, sexy and hopeful! RC Gray and Andi Arndt were perfect for this novella.


Caught Up in Her is a prequel to Lauren's Caught Up in Love series. I loved this book when I read it and Jason and Carly reminded me why! The perfect nibble to Bryan and Kat's story!

This is a fantastic compilation of Novellas!

The first and main event is “Nobody Does it Better” This is the third story in the series that follows “Best Laid Plans” and “The Feel Good Factor” Each CAN be a stand-alone read. The series follows three best girl-friends, Arden, Perry and Vanessa and their love stories. I would recommend reading them all because they are wonderful, but it is not required, you can jump in anywhere really. (But you’d miss out on so much great writing and narrating!)

Shaw and Vanessa have been dancing around their attraction for years. Since Shaw is Vanessa’s best friend Perry’s brother, it never seemed possible. Until one night in a cabin, and a snow storm. Erin Mallon and Joe Arden deliver deliciousness straight into your ears. You get all kinds of “Joe Voice” ridiculously jealous, light hearted and witty to outright sexy. Erin Mallon, is as always, perfection, you can’t help but fall in love with her voice. . With bonus voices sprinkled throughout, Carly Robbins, Savannah Peachwood & Virginia Rose - this is such a treat. The writing and narration come together to brighten your day. it is the perfect ending to these three stories of these girlfriends

This is Olivia and Herb’s story from Come As You Are. It has been re-imagined with Joe Arden narrating Herb. If you’ve listened before you need to re-listen. I loved the story line on this one, paired by a match maker, these two go on a first date at an escape room. Again, the banter and wit are superior, and the hot parts – are hot. It’s your shot to go on a date with Andi & Joe, it’s too fun to say no. Go Ahead put Joe Arden in your ears, they will thank you.

A novella from the Heartbreakers Series, Macy & Kirby flirt around Valentine’s day. Well…. Macy Loves V-Day Kirby is all against it, typically cynical. Jason Clarke’s voice is divinely sexy, you’ll melt for him. When the spark ignites between these two, you’re rooting for them to find their happy ending.

Finally you get “A Little Big Rock” The prequel Novella to Bigger Rock. Oh My! This lends some insight into Spencer and Charlotte's romantic beginnings and what a Cad Bradley is. You get Sebastian York, Joe Arden, Erin Mallon and Andi Arndt on this novella. Just those names alone made me want to listen! As the Big Rock series was narrated by York (solo) it was fun to listen to a multi cast give voices to these characters.

I love all things Lauren! She knows what her listeners want and she always delivers! I love every single narrator ESP Erin and Joe together!

Not a fan of the “extras”...Buyer beware...

When I purchase a book with 5-6 hours of content, I expect the vast majority of listening time to contain the novel. Nearly half of this audio is composed of a novella and sneak previews. The actual novel was entertaining, but it was quite short...almost a novella itself. While I enjoy Lauren Blakely’s novels, I will be a more wary shopper to prevent purchasing similar audio compilations.

Love Love Love

This book and the series about three best friends is the bomb. Great characters, great narrator's and dont forget the extras at the end. Lauren's books on audio are the only way to go for me now I listen while I drive for work and the humor with the romance keep me going in a silent car, I'm no longer bored.

I loved everything about this quick listen and can't get enough of these residents of Lucky Falls in Blakely's fabulous Lucky in Love series!

The bonus novellas have us witnessing Macy and Kirby's blossoming romance over Valentines Day in Once Upon a Red Hot Kiss. We first met them in the Heartbreaker series, Kirby is Ally's brother and Macy is her best friend. Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke were fabulous bringing these white hot, and deliciously dirty lovers to life.

Next is Too Good To Be True, featuring Olivia and Herb from Come as You Are. They are so perfect for each other, as they discover their shared love of puzzles, games and sizzling kisses. But could their insane chemistry, and insta love, be too good to be true? I loved the outstanding narration and delivery by both RC Bray and Andi Arndt.

The next novella is Caught Up in Her, the prequel to Caught Up in Us. I read this book when it was released and love experiencing Bryan and Kat's romance again! Carly Robins and Jason Clarke were perfect as Kat and Bryan and did an amazing job bringing this sweet forbidden romance to life.

Last but not least is Charlotte's pov in Little Big Rock, the prequel to Big Rock. I loved listening to the events in Charlotte's life that lead her to agree with Spencer's proposal and performed flawlessly by Andi Arndt, Sebastian York, Joe Arden, and Erin Mallon.

This audio book has a little of everything! Lauren Blakely's captivating story-lines and characters, along with these amazing narrators make this a stellar aural experience!

It was such a treat listening. All the hotness!

First, the narration by Joe Arden and Erin Mallon is amazing! They have a great way of bringing the characters to life, and I love how they capture the silliness, heat, longing, and eventually love that is Kirby and Macy In the audiobook of Nobody Does it Better, not only does Lauren Blakely give you the great HEA with the wonderful buildup she’s known for, but she goes and gives you a mélange of equally awesome novellas with a cornucopia of some of the best voices in audio narrating: Once Upon a Red Hot KISS, Too Good to Be True, Caught Up in Her, and A Little Big Rock! These stories have all the feels, and plenty of window fogging steaminess.

Lauren is a true artist, and I love how she just mixes things up. She could very well write a few popular tropes and still be very successful, but she doesn’t. Other than an HEA, you just don’t know what you’ll get in the next LB book you read, but you can’t wait to find out!

Didn’t,t catch my attention

I wanted to like these novelas, but they cien,t seem to catch attention. I found I was skimming over chunks of the audio also, I,ve mixed opinions on the narrators.
