Sometimes you just need a push

I have a list of narrators that I search for regularly... Joe Arden being one of them. His storytelling is unlike anyone I’ve listened to. He puts himself into the character and the passion that he gives the story... sigh. This is my first time listening to Erin Mallon and I absolutely loved it. So many times I cringe when female narrators need to read male POV but this was not one of those times. It sounds strange but she was able to make me believe it could have been a man talking.

Of course Lauren Blakely created an amazing story which makes the narration that much better!

My love for Joe and Erin proven correct once more!

Joe Arden and Erin Mallon bring Shaw and Vanessa to life in the latest installment from Lauren Blakely. We are back to the firehouse, where Shaw the Playboy sees his friends and family settling down, but has yet to find his own partner....or has he? He and his sister Perri's lifelong friends Vanessa have had a few "special moments", (not that he would let Perri find out!) but he doesn't want to risk his best friendship when he knows he can't commit.

However, quirky beautiful Vanessa has had it bad for Shaw for years but KNOWS girls never last with him. Their chemistry is off the charts, but she starts to feel a little too taken for granted. What happens when the town naughty book club ladies try to set Vanessa up with someone who could potentially be a forever mate? What does Shaw have to say about that??? He for sure doesn't care for the weird feeling he has seeing Vanessa smiling at somebody else....

Joe Arden is always amazing, delivers all the feels, but he does a spectacular job with Shaw, making him the lovable best friend, albeit giant Playboy when it comes to women. His voice inflections and the feeling he puts behind the voice of Shaw lets you feel Shaw's indecision and nervousness in losing the best thing in his life, AND risking his sister's undoubted wrath if he hurt Vanessa. Joe has a special quality when he narrates that brings the story to life. He doesn't just read the story.

Erin Mallon is perfect as the strong and sassy heroine. She is successful by herself but longs for the same love both her friends have found. Erin's voice has a beautiful tone and she's spectacular at doing the voices of both male and female characters so that it doesn't distract from the story.

I loved the sassy book ladies and was so happy the guest narrators made such a cute appearance! The added bonus novellas were exciting since I LOVED the other books in each series. The narrators for each were fabulous and part of my regular list of must haves!

This is an audio fans delight! There is so much love and so many great narrators how can one go wrong?

Having Joe Arden, Erin Mallon, Andi Arndt, Jason Clarke, Carly Robins along with guests Savannah Peachwood and Virgina Rose’s whispering sweet sexy stories to you each evening is the best way to get ready for a great night of dreaming of happy endings and sexy voices.

Nobody Does it Better and the Novella’s that followed are just what a girl needs to finish off her day.

So many thanks go to Lauren and all the amazing narrators. If they only gave us a choice of more stars I know I would be able to give more than 5!

An entertaining, fun and sexy listen!

Lauren Blakely does it again with this funny, touching story of friendship and love. It's a refreshing tale of the "off limits" brother, combined with scheming to bring the hearts of those in love together. The passion is high and the sexiness is hot! Ms. Blakely's talent for humor, sarcasm and witty banter is in full force with this story and it is GREAT!

The different narrators voices and talents brought so much entertainment, I enjoyed hearing the different character's voices coming to life; but the performances of Joe Arden and Erin Mallon really deserve high praises for their work. It was so fun to listen to Joe's voice with his humor and laughter tones; when he says the word "jelly" you can't help but smile (that whole scene is wonderful!). Erin does a phenomenal job as Vanessa; her love for Shaw is heard in each of her words.

This story won't disappoint! It will leave you feeling good and happy about love.

Each book I listen to by Lauren Blakely just keeps getting better and better. I don't know if it is the characters that I am falling for each time I listen, or the amazing narration I get to listen to. This collection of novellas was just one fun, sexy listen after another and I couldn't get enough! It starts with Nobody Does It Better with Erin Mallon and Joe Arden. We get Vanessa and Shaw's story along with cameos of from the book club ladies. I was laughing out loud with each of their text sessions! Next, we have Once Upon a Red Hot Kiss with Macy and Kirby's story. These are from the Heartbreaker's series and with narration by Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon, this couple is sizzling! Following next is Too Good to be True, and I loved RC Bray and Andi Arndt as they brought Avery and Flynn to life. This was my favorite of the novellas if I had to pick. Fun, flirty and sexy, these two were incredible. Carly Robins and Jason Clarke round out the 4 new novellas with Caught up in Her as we get to hear Cat and Brian with best friend's sister romance. Hot, sweet and full of passion, this story is so much fun. It doesn't end there though, Blakely gives us Little Big Rock at the end as a little of Charlotte's point of view with this prequel to Big Rock. I loved each and every one of these stories, all low angst, passionate and sexy. They are the best kinds of listens that leave you with that warm and happy feeling, and just want more!
