Publisher's summary

Noah the Loner. Winter's stoic stud. A mystery cloaked in rugged allure. His gaze—a challenge, as if daring me to melt his cold facade. And I can't resist.

Bringing sunshine to a frozen town, I sought simplicity. But a blizzardy encounter with him became my true tempest. Why rescue me from the storm and then retreat back inside his shell?

His past holds secrets; his silence is a story. A gruff demeanor that I aim to crack. Dominant dismissals only stoke my submissive desires to crack his rugged exterior and expose the passionate heart that lies within. Amidst howling winds, passions ignite.

Can two souls find a compromise? Or will our age gap and temperaments keep us adrift? Dive into a romance where warmth battles winter's chill.

A fiery transition from foes to flames! Their playful banter gives way to a connection only this rugged loner can provide. A Clean Opposites Attract Age Gap Romance.

Noah and Lily

This is Noah and Lily’s story. I found it sweet, and would love more stories like this one. Noah is a high powered executive, moving away from the rat race. Lily is a small town Alaska dinner owner. The two hit it off, but have to work through many issues, miscommunications, and misunderstandings. They are coming from very different places. This is a clean romance. The narration was well done. Clean age-gap romance

Noah is a grumpy rich guy who is looking for a change. He finds his change in Lily and her unique diner. The two really seem to hit it off and are doing well, until a miscommunication and a natural disaster flip their little town up-side-down.

I really liked this story. It was clean, sweet, romantic, and relatable. The characters were realistic and the story kept my attention.

Too Trope-y … and One Ridiculous Barrier

As you may be able to tell from the book’s title and subtitle, it's a bit trope heavy and hackneyed. Though, honestly, the tropes advertised aren't huge players in this story. Is the hero a true grump? Not to me. He just comes across as a tight-lipped Texan who's used to getting his own way. Is this an “enemies to lovers” story? No. The hero and heroine are instantly attracted to each other, though both want to deny it—OF COURSE—for different reasons. He's hung up on their 16-year age gap, though if he's as hunky and young looking as the cover model, you could understand the heroine overlooking the age gap! The “enemies” aspect is not real. Another woman wants to stir the pot to keep these two apart because she's hoping to get the hero for herself. I really despise romances that create an artificial barrier between the hero and heroine stemming from a jealous or otherwise meddling third party, especially one where if the hero and heroine just talked or compared notes about their interactions with this known seedy character, there'd be no misunderstanding whatsoever. Ugh! The heroine is definitely a sunshiny person despite challenges. However, I found it ridiculous when she sacrificed prized possessions for what would be very little gain. Did burning her beloved deceased mother’s posters even buy them minutes of heat? Too much ridiculousness, far too trope-y—even if not the tropes listed—far too contrived. Oh, and despite the title, the hero does not own the diner. The heroine does!

Sweet

This was a short, sweet story of 27 year old Lily, born and raised in small town Alaska, and Noah, a 43 year old retired investment banker, born and raised on a ranch in Texas.
They meet at Lily’s diner in Alaska, where Noah has gone to regroup after finding his longtime girlfriend cheating with his business partner. It is a sweet instalove age gap romance.

Small Towns

Cute little story about a rich, successful man (Noah) who is looking to slow things down in his life and a single, diner owner (Lily). Noah is a grump, while Lily is a breath of fresh air and always tries to see the good. Noah decides he wants to stay in the small Alaskan town, and buys the apartment aboves Lily’s diner, not knowing that she was trying to buy it herself. But the real estate agent is a conniving woman who forgets to mention that to Noah. While Noah has no idea why Lily and the town are mad at him, he will do anything to make her happy.

Be ready for some new challenges, a couple of twists and a small town coming together. Watch as Noah and Lily work on their misunderstandings and their miscommunications!

An ok story

This story belongs to hot shot businessman Noah and Lily. Noah arrives in Alaska to get away from the stress of his life and meets Lily, the owner of the local cafe his first morning there.
The attraction is immediate but for him the age gap is an issue. Things get complicated when a realtor lies to Noah which in turn hurts Lily.
Like most novellas. neither the characters nor the plot gets a chance to develop .
That said, the narrator Morgan Scott, did a good job with the various voices.
I was entrusted a copy of this audiobook by Booksprout. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Nice storyline.

This isn’t my normal type of book I
listen to or read.
Say the it was well developed had a clean
story to tell with just enough going on to
keep me interested.

Noah's Grumpy Diner!

This is a sweet and fairly clean romance that is short and quick. The narrator did a good job bringing the characters and their story to life. The story is about Noah and Lily. Things change for both the minute this grumpy, dark haired man step foot in her diner. Noah, a high powered man from Texas, has been betrayed, sold his partnership and is come to Alaska for an escape. He comes to the diner for some toast and instantly dislikes the inspirational posters all over the walls. He is mesmerized by his waitress though. Even though he is stern, grumpy and abrasive her curiosity is peeked. The two are attracted to each other fairly instantly but definitely have some challenges, misunderstandings, a blizzard, mischievous boys, angst, drama and the devil real estate agent to work through. They eventually get their happiness and a family sweeping in on them. I enjoyed ever bit of this story and love the characters.
