Story
Planning my own wedding should mean I'm having the time of my life...not defending it every time I turn around. Dragons, feral Wolves and Were Cows...I mean who in the hell knew Were Cows even existed? All I wanna do is marry Hank, have 2.5 beautiful little Werewolf babies, and live happily ever after while having sex on a very regular basis. Oh...and I still want to shoot stuff occasionally. Apparently no one got the memo.

I'm a nice girl - really I am. I'm just a typical computer-hacking, knife-throwing, Star Trek-obsessed, overeducated Werewolf nerd who can't seem to get her love life to compute. However, it's time to grow up and face the music or, more accurately, the man I'm in love with...Junior, aka Jacob Wilson - the Alpha of the Georgia Pack. First I'll have to stand up to some nasty gals whose pants are so tight I can see their religion. Then I'll claim my man.

Story
I was a top-notch Were agent for the secret paranormal Council and happily living in Chicago, where I had everything I needed - a gym membership, season tickets to the Cubs, and Dwayne - my gay Vampyre best friend. Going back now would mean facing the reason I'd left, and I'd rather chew my own paw off than deal with Hank. Hank the Tank Wilson was the six-foot-three, obnoxious, egotistical, perfect-assed, best-sex-of-my-life Werewolf who cheated on me and broke my heart.

Story
I’m desperate to resign from the Werewolf Treaty Federation aka WTF. Don’t judge. I didn’t name this crew of misfit Shifters so hear me out. After investigating a deadly Jazz Cabbage outbreak, I discover we need a necromancing demon to help solve the crime. My gay vampyre BFF, Dwayne, dated one of these gems several decades ago. Seems all we need to do is summon his evil butt into this plane of existence and poof, crisis solved. The question is, can we bring him back without causing a flesh-eating, end-of-the-world zombie apocalypse?

The love of my dastardly immortal life is eating everything that isn't nailed down and tried to behead me over a chocolate croissant. While I take chocolate croissants very seriously, I do believe decapitation is somewhat harsh. My daughters, the Seven Deadly Sins, are driving me to drink. Getting them mated off and the hell out of Hell is at the top on my agenda. The one thing that is keeping me sane - sane being a relative word - is my upcoming special day.

I’ve been happily human for 30 years. Now I’m discovering I’m the reincarnated Fairy Queen of a land chock-full of freaks who want me dead. However, I’ll admit the perks are pretty cool. I have more magic in my little pinky than should be allowed by law in any universe. Not to mention, the love of my life is a Fairy so smokin’ hot, he makes Hell look like a Winter Wonderland. Problem is, my hotter-than-Hades Fairy is imprisoned in Zanthia for nefarious reasons I won’t go into, but now I must head back to that crap hole where I’m the Queen, and save the damn day.

This is simply not my week. Finding out I can’t cook is appalling. My luncheon with the big-boned Immortal socialites went to Hell in a handbasket. I’ve been hoping to join the Fearsome Five and make it the Psycho Six. However, the chances of that happening now are looking slim. Of course, I could force my way in since I’m Mother freakin’ Nature, but I want to be accepted for being me - and because I’m fabulous. It’s bad enough my two sons, God and Satan, are driving me to crazy town while my best friend, Mr. Rogers, is riding in the backseat having a breakdown....

A dare is a dare. No self-respecting, slightly chubby, good-lookin’, crime lovin’ cat would ever pass up a dare. So I didn’t. Now, me and my boys are in hot water trying to figure out how to live on the right side of the law for a whole freakin’ week! This is complicated by a couple of hairy issues. A movie deal for the devil's autobiography slash romance? Priceless. Maybe I should choose George Clooney to play me in the movie.... No. Too gray. As much as I can't see anyone playing me but me, I have far more important issues on my agenda - like finding the woman who stole my soul. Well, not exactly stole.... I might have made the switch and taken hers, but the siren Elle Rinoa has my soul nonetheless. Maybe Brad Pitt would be a good Lucifer.... No. Too blond.

What's the Devil to do when his fire no longer burns away his sins and Fate is screwing with his...well, fate? Easy - lie, cheat, steal, and dictate my questionably accurate autobiography-slash-romance-novel to my unwilling and outstandingly rude Vampyre niece. Welcome to my Hell. A mysterious darkness is gunning for me and this time it might prevail. Traveling to Earth to promote my best-selling romance novel at an alarming book convention where I must protect my privates from the rabid lady readers is enough to frighten even the Devil.

My name is Venus. I'm a 200-year old killing machine and I'm trading in my daggers and sword for a sparkly dress and an obscene swimsuit. Tiny strips of Lycra are not my typical battle wear, but when in Oklahoma... Armed with a fairly decent attitude, two debatably heterosexual insane old ladies, a woman I'd wanted to kill less than eight hours ago, and the possible love of my undead life, I'm in over my head with this. Of course I have no clue what this is going to entail, but that's never stopped me before.

Vampyres don't exist. They absolutely do not exist. At least I didn't think they did 'til I tried to quit smoking and ended up Undead. Who in the hell did I screw over in a former life that my getting healthy equates with dead? Now I'm a Vampyre. Yes, we exist whether we want to or not. Publisher's Summary
My name is Dima, and I'm a Dragon. I'm also going to die soon. It's a battle I've waged most of my life, but now the odds are looking crappy. Before I go up flames, I have to find a way to save my horde and make sure my secret treasure is safe. There is one way I could stick around a bit longer, but the men I've met aren't exactly lining up to save me.
What in hell does a Dragon Princess have to do to find a mate? Offing my father, the reviled Dragon King, would be one way to go. He has a penchant for eliminating any male who shows interest - not to mention he's been trying to kill me for almost 500 years. So my brilliant plan is to take out my father in a blaze of glory - pun intended. However, I have to suck it up and do some stuff I don't want to do. For example, getting along with Dragons who don't trust me is a horrific challenge even though we share the same goal. That's why I aligned myself with the ragtag pack of shifters who accepted me and my secret treasure unconditionally. They're my friends now, and I'm keeping them. I'll fry anyone who dares to speak against my Werewolves, my Werecows, and the fabulous gay Vampyre named Dwayne.
Unfortunately the Weres who love me don't have the kind of firepower I need to take out my father. To get that I have allied myself with a dangerous group of Dragons known as The Resistance. Staying away from the sexy, pompous, fire-breathing blowhard of a leader is turning out to be a full-time job. And no...he's not even in the running for the mate. Mutual incineration would be inevitable - or sexual combustion. You see...Dragons aren't the easiest of the species to get along with. You can dress us up and take us out, but at the end of the day we're still the idiots who like a little friendly bloodshed and sex - make that lots of sex.
My life keeps getting more and more complicated, but I've run out of options. I'm about to run out of time, too. I'm learning there's nowhere to run and nowhere to hide from destiny.

NARRATION IS AMAZEBALLS!
If you could sum up No Were to Run in three words, what would they be?
HILARIOUS + CAPTIVATING + HEARTWARMING
What other book might you compare No Were to Run to and why?
I do not think I can compare, this book stands alone in a awesome way. It is a perfect addition to the series SHIFT HAPPENS, it was so good to get to know Dema and her son, her love story made laugh and cry.
Have you listened to any of Abby Craden’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No but I sure will now, her voice was soothing and I could not stop listening, I love how she changes her voice for different characters and its PERFECTION, not once I felt lost. I do not understand one bit why are so many complaining about narrations. I you read the review and are wondering if you should skip this book DO NOT! I will say the first few minutes when the voice is her as a child it was a bit dramatic for my taste but that does not mean it was bad, Im just not a fan of overly dramatic narration it makes me roll my eyes a lot. But it quickly switches to her as an adult and her narration is fabulous, all the voices are perfect, even when she does her kid voice is so cute!! Searching for more Abby Craden narrations book, right after this I am done with this review.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
The rightful queen!
Any additional comments?
YOU WILL LOVE THIS BOOK! Dena is a perfect addition to the series! Im a big fan!

Where’s that Southern sassafras?
This was good enough as a free listen, but I would not pay for this book. The bonkers, cartoonish series that spawned were-cows, a 300 year old bald, black, gay vampire, and a paranormal secret agent association with the acronym of WTF comes out only half baked here. Part of the disconnect was the narrator change to go with the change from the urban fantasy romance story of Essie as a werewolf secret agent to Dima as a dragon with homicidal daddy issues. While she wasn’t awful, the narrator lacked the southern comic sass and enthusiasm of Hollie Jackson. Also, the narration of the sexy banter was not sexy at all and did nothing to sell the romance for me. Another off thing was the imbalance of fun and camp to the sappier and darker parts of the story. My least favorite parts were all the parts with the four year old dragon (gagged a little every time the kid spoke). For a fun book, there’s a lot of violence to family (mothers and kids), women skinned alive, prostitution to survive, women having to mate to continue to exist... hmmm, it seems it wasn’t just the darkness that spoiled the fun, but that so much of it happened at the expense of women. For a series that features strong women, this one just didn’t quite work for me. Still, the next book on the series is free and the narrator changes again, so I will borrow it and hope the fun, campy, crackalackin good times regain the high ground for the urban fantasy romantic romp I liked in the first two books.

I didn't like the change in voices from books 1&2 to book 3. when it's a great series like this as listeners it helps to keep the voices the same. we fall in love with those characters to learn knew characters all over again. its like it's new characters when its not. but wonderful and excellent story line.

Run Were and Dragons
Dima, a Dragon of royal decent, has been on the run to protect herself from her father for over 400 years. In order to survive she needs to mate, or die. She doesn't mind dying, so long as she can kill her father in her last act of revenge before she dies. Due to her fathers control in the Dragon world, she can't trust any of them. Finding it hard to trust anyone, Dima befriends the most unusual group of misfit Were family ever. Werewolves, Werecows, Wererabbits, and most famously the most flamboyant gay vampire of all time, Dwayne. Individually they're all nuts, but together they're a passionate and loyal family, and Dima's newly adopted family. When the Dragons resistant team recruits Dima to help them unthrown her father, Dima agrees, so long as they accept her new allied family of misfit Were's. Dragons aren't know to be the easiest to get along with, but when Dima meets the General, another Dragon shifter, she isn't taking his crap regardless of how strong and sexy he is. Dima has her own agenda and set of priorities and if the General doesn't agree to join her, then she'll do it on her own...even if it means that things get more complicated. Abby Craden does a fantastic job narrating Dima's trials and tribulations as a strong woman trying to make it on her own with her merry-were'men, were'women, were'cows, and the ever precious diva Dwayne.

Dysfunctional dragons.
Deena has been an outcast since she was a child. She has secrets and doesn’t trust easily. She’s the rightful heir to the dragon royal line, needs a mate before her 500th birthday or she dies. Her murderous king father wants her dead and now she has to talk to other dragons. Maybe Essie, Hank and Dwayne, along with the were wolf , vampires and were cows can help?

I love with this series....until
I sped thru the first two books in the series! Love the story, the humor, and the narrator nailed it! Love Hollie Jackson! Started this book and I couldn't even get thru the prologue and first chapter. Abby Craden is so vastly different from Hollie, not even a southern accent. Her voice is horrible for book narration. I'm skipping any books in this series NOT narrated by Hollie Jackson
