Need more

Another homerun that I have absolutely no words to describe. E.L. & T. J. are fast becoming my favorite authors. I love their words and can't wait to discover more books by these two.

Zak & Delilah

Book two of the Forsaken Hearts series takes us on a different journey than our experience with Twitch. While that was intense this for me was more a story of growth and maturity. Zak is our focus. Full of attitude and confidence, he isn't the most likeable personality, but as a musician, he has women swooning over him. When he has Delilah for a night, he doesn't realize what he has taken, but he knows he can't stop thinking about her. Delilah is totally infatuated with Zak, until the end of the night when his dismissive words were less than nice. Now in a situation binding them for life, the two have life altering decisions to make. Zak also has to take a hard look at himself and his position in the band. Will he ever be able to get along with Twitch? Will they recover from the loss of one of their own? The DuBois' have a knack from pulling out all the stops and letting us feel when they write. This story is a little lighter that the first, but delves into the hearts of two that are coming of age. Though not teenagers, they have some issues and together with the help of Mr. Miyagi(I know,it's the Dr, but I love this reference) and friends mature and learn. It's a wonderful story.

Elizabeth Blakely continues her narration of this series. She does a good job, though I found times when I was unable to differentiate the voices. She has a lot of emotion and passion in her voice which brings out the best in the characters and I enjoyed her performance.

I loved it!

This is the second book in the Forsaken Hearts Series. Delilah and Zac story is hilarious, and less emotional than the first book in the series. Their journey is filled with misunderstandings and miscommunication. I like their banter. I loved to see again Twitch and Gia from Crossroads, the first book in the Series. Doc is a great supporting character. Elizabeth Blakely did a good job with the narration.

Great sequel!

Zak is your typical bad boy musician who is a womanizer. Delilah is a virgin with no family around, just her friends. The banter between these two is priceless! Their love hate relationship made me laugh throughout the whole book. The author does a great job talking about serious subjects in a funny way. Narration was great!

Wonderful series

I have enjoyed both of the first two books in this series immensely. Ms Blakely's narration added to the enjoyment! Recommend these books to anyone looking for a unique love story! Looking forward to the rest of the books and more by both the authors and narrator.

Zak's story

Indigo Simms and Tyler Hunt have loved each other for quite a long time and they're finally getting married. Indie's little sister, Sienna, is a college freshman and soccer/football star. Ty tasks his cousin, business partner and good friend, Cameron, to watch over her. That shouldn't be a problem, right? Not so fast! Sienna is a particularly inappropriate 18-year-old, with thoughts constantly on sex, and sex with Cam is what's on her mind. He is a British billionaire tech mogul, ten years her senior, and not interested in sex with a college freshman; at least that's what he tries to tell himself. His past is littered with the trauma of a sick love, one based on lies and manipulation, but it was the only thing he knew about love. Now he "hates" a woman after a one night stand, refuses to see anyone twice, and can't see himself capable of love, real love. But Sienna's a different type of woman and he finds himself flirting right back when she lays it on thick with him. They test each other by teasing, daring and even begging, but Cam knows his cousin and Sienna's sister would kill him if he touched her. That doesn't mean he doesn't want to, he just can't. He's still too much of a mess because of what happened to him. They try the platonic route, but the sexual tension is too much to ignore and Cam finally gives in to Sienna. He's different with her, but he still doesn't trust himself and, besides, he'll be leaving to go back to London right after the wedding. Their attraction is powerful and they have a lot in common. He loves watching Sienna play football, running with her and isn't averse to exploring a relationship. The time is coming soon when they have to say goodbye. Sienna and Cam are both miserable when they're apart, but he won't answer her texts or get in touch with her in any way. When they finally do see each other again, it becomes obvious that there's something there. Cam is worried that his secret can ruin them and he hasn't been able to tell anybody about the facts of what happened to him. Even though Sienna loves him, he just can't say those words back to her. It appears that it's too messy and complicated for them to ever get their HEA. This is an emotional book that had me tearing up for Cam. Sienna can wait for him to be ready for a commitment and her patience is rewarded. Dirty Secret is a wonderfully touching story!
The narration is very well done by Elizabeth Blakely. She has good cadence, tone and gives each character a distinct voice.
