Publisher's summary

In her powerful new novel, #1 New York Times bestselling author Fern Michaels weaves a story of betrayal, courage, and starting over....

From her silver Mercedes to her designer kitchen, Molly's life is gleaming and beautiful - at least on the surface. Married to Tanner, a top cosmetic dentist, she has a wonderful daughter finishing high school and twin stepsons from Tanner's first marriage. No one in her exclusive neighborhood in Goldenhills, Massachusetts, knows what living with the demanding Tanner is really like. They know even less about the life she left behind in Florida almost two decades ago.

Back then, Molly was Maddy Carmichael, living with her twin brother and neglectful mother in a run-down trailer park amid the orange groves of Florida. After the terrible events of her high school prom night - and the act of vengeance that followed - she fled north and reinvented herself. But the veneer of Molly's polished existence is finally cracking.

As secrets old and new are revealed, Molly must face painful truths and the choices she made in their wake - and find the strength to become the woman she once hoped to be.

Great suspense drama...

This book is a great suspense drama story. It is filled with so many different twists. Poor Maggie! She just can't catch a break! Her senior pro should be the best memories ever... should be! As she gets old, a new life, new city even a new name - but same old story! I loved the character of Maggie / Molly. I loved her daughter too and Ace was a great addition to the story.

The author, Fern Michaels did a great job on this book. Excellent plot and great story-line. I really liked the direction this story went into. The narrator, Teri Schnaubelt delivered another flawless delivery of this book to us complete with accents, multiple voices, the works. Very smoothly spoken too.

Never A Dull Fern Michaels Book

Great read! Love the story, the characters, and the narrator. As usual, Fern Michaels gives background on the main characters, which in this case is extremely helpful. Imagine being a twin who has nothing in common with your twin. What makes it worse is all the secrets and lies even your mother won't tell you. There is a pivotal incident that changes your life and sends you several states away to reinvent yourself. It's a quick read, and I would certainly recommend it!

one of those fulfilling start to finish novels

I liked the story, I just wish that it didn't end so abruptly. When things started to go her way it was rushed and over before I knew it. other than that not bad

No save secret

Good reading! Especially at the end when she went to Boston and met with her twin brother that was my best part along with the minister!
Well enjoy!

All the stars I can give...

Fern's ability to speak about domestic abuse and sexual assault is so enlightening. This is the type of book that very well may help those who are in similar situations to take charge and make change. Great book!

wanted the story to be longer.

I like the narrative and her voice, but wanted a little story at the end. But I enjoyed the book.

Awesome story

Ms Michaels has an amazing way of putting her readers in the shoes of her characters. Somehow giving hope to those of us who suffer in abusive, controlling relationships.

Loved, Amazing!

This story was very well written and kept me wondering what the next chapter would be since it kept going from current events to events when Molly was 17. I was totally caught up in the story and loved the ending.
