I truly enjoyed your compelling story. As a parent of a deaf child I often refer to you for my child to look at for inspiration. I love how you were transparent about your challenges and how you continued to adjust and adapt. Thank you for writing this!

My first audio book. I enjoyed it tremendously. The Marcus Brotherton's voice was so clear and with so much compassion, it felt like it was Derrick Coleman telling the story directly himself. I was apart of his family listening to family stories handed down. All words were wonderfully expressed. Thank you.

I love Derrick's personal message. He is a role model for anyone, not just the deaf or hearing impaired. I am an ASL student and listened to this story for a book report but I'm surprised how Derrick's story has inspired me to be a fan of Seattle.

I just wish this had been narrated by Derrick himself.

Keep inspiring Derrick Coleman Jr.! We need more role models like you for our youth!

I grew up attending schools in the same area, and as a hard of hearing (and signing) teacher of the Deaf, I've shared Coleman's story countless times. This was a great peek into his life.
