Publisher's Summary

I'm the only witch at the academy who can wield a rare magic. But should I trust the man who can teach me to unlock my powers?

The events on Halloween taught me a lesson - I'm not human and the supernatural world lives by different rules. Now I'm back at the academy determined to work hard, develop my magic skills, and save lives.

I met my aunt who showed me that life as a future-sighted witch has greater challenges than I realized. Especially for me, because we've discovered I've more abilities than anybody expected.

The new guys in my life face problems, too. Jamie is using dangerous magic to protect himself. Ash is struggling to control how dangerous he is to others. And Andrei's life is under threat as a result of Halloween. Can Tobias help...or will he report us for breaking rules?

The hunters who survived the attack are looking for revenge, and the Dominion is moving closer to the academy. Add in the pressure of working with Katherine and Amelia on the Winter Ball committee, and I'll be lucky to reach the end of term in one piece.

Nightworld Academy: Term Two is the second in this upper young adult/new adult series of magic academy books. The main characters are 18 or older, and this is a slow burn reverse harem story.

Please note: It is necessary to listen to Nightworld Academy: Term One before listening to this audiobook.

Secrets and intrigue

Maeve tries to navigate her way through this new world but is met with more lies and secrets. Her bonds with her men continue to grow. I don’t want to give anything away but that ending I can’t wait for more. This also has an excellent narration to go with the story.

Intrigues and Secrets at the Academy

Nightworld Academy Term Two starts with Mauve, Amelia, Jaime, Ash, and Andrei from Term One, surviving their last ordeal from the Hunters on Halloween Night. The question is could they trust Tobias, their professor from selling them out. With Mauve's prediction of Jaime's death, Jaime has been left behind from his confrontation with the school bullies and mission for his own protection. This makes Jaime seek the the forbidden Deadwood magic for a protection spell. Mauve is still learning and adopting from her human life to a life of a witch. Her abilities are stilling manifesting themselves. She has to learn to control them or left them control her. She is also attracted to Jaime, Ash, Andrie and including her professor, Tobias. Being in a supernatural school also taught Mauve that everyone is keeping secrets. Just when I thought the story would end, it ends with a cliffhanger of who is Vincent? Nightworld Academy Term Two is full of intrigue and secrets. Could Mauve trusts anybody at the Academy completely? Even with her being attracted to Jaime, Ash, Andrie, and Tobias, she is discovering the secrets they hold. I can't wait to see who she choose and the role that she play in her new life. The narrator, Sarah L. Colton does a wonderful performance for the female characters, Mauve, Amelia, and even Catherine (who is Ms. Popularity). And the other narrator, Steve Campbell delivers with the male characters, especially on Andrie and Tobias. For new readers/listeners, I would strongly recommends to read/listen to Nightworld Academy: Term One. New readers/listeners wouldn't get lost with a the quite summary at the beginning of Nightworld Academy: Term Two but trying to figure out what happened would be sketchy. I was given an audiobook by the author. I volunteered to write an unbiased review of the audiobook. I was not compensated or influenced for writing the review.

Steady entertainment

My husband & I are enjoying our joint listening sessions during our work commute. They story lines are building, not with huge splashy reveals but smaller insights & clues through the multiple characters & angles. Great cliffhanger here & looking forward to term 3. #audiobookobsessionreviewer

Great sequel to book 1

This story picks where book one left off. The dynamics to the group are slowly shifting and becoming more. You learn more about Andre’s background as well as many others in the group. The twist about Tobias has left many questions and the book ends on a cliffhanger. The vision with Andre has me excited to see how their relationship grows. This an awesome slow burn romance and I hope things continue to evolve. I can’t wait for the next book! I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. #audiobook obsession

Term Two kept me on the edge of my seat

L. J. Swallow continues to blow me away with the world she has created in Night World Academy. Term Two continues where Term One left off, so you will want to read it in order. This book gave me all the feels. Not only did I fall harder for each of the characters in this story, I was drawn further into the world Lisa created. There was the perfect blend of chemistry, suspense, super natural powers, and memorable characters. I loved the twists and turns and I never knew what would happen next. I am dying to find out what will happen in Term Three. The narration of this story drew me in to the story even more. L. J. Swallow, Sarah L. Colton and Steve Campbell were the perfect combination at bringing this world to life. I loved their diversity as performers and unique ability to portray multiple characters. I will definitely listen to more books from these three.

Relationships progressing slowly

The narrators are wonderful at distinguishing between characters. I enjoyed the progression of the relationships, even though it is slow, and how Maeve connects with each of the guys. The conflict with the hunter added a bit of intrigue to the story. Meeting Maeve’s aunt, who shares the same ability, also drew me in; knowing what Maeve risks each time she uses her powers to save someone else. I’m interested in more of this story.

How can you do this to me?

How can you do this to me end the story just like that?! When is the next audiobook available? I can’t wait to hear the rest of it. I enjoyed the second book so much more than the first one. I bet the third is going to be even better. I am so sucked in. The narration was great, both narrators did great by giving each character their own voice. 🎧AOR

ends on a cliffhanger

cliffhangers are a pet peeve of mine since authors don't actually know if they will write the next book... so that takes a star off... the book is more of the same, so if you liked the first one, you will enjoy this one as well, if however you were annoyed by teenage drama and problems being people not talking to each other maybe give this one a miss... Steve keeps showing why he is s rising star in the industry and by the end of the book I actually wanted more of him... that's not s slight at Sarah who is talented herself, that's just how good Steve is...

Good Listen

I enjoyed term two. It’s definitely slow burn but it’s still a good listen. Maeve gets a better understanding and handle on her powers. Even though it’s slow burn, her bond between her guys strengthens. I’m on the fence rather or not I trust Tobias. Overall, I really enjoyed term two. LJ Swallow once again drew me in and kept me interested! She did a great job writing the book. Sarah & Steve did an excellent narrating! 🎧AudioBookObsessionReviewer

Sophomore Year

This left me on edge! If I thought I loved the first one, the second was even better. I've warmed up to Meave more with this story. The narration was better than I thought. Typically, the sequel isn't as good as the first book, but I'll be darn if this wasn't better than Term One. I'm excited for Term Three. 🎧AudiobookObsession🎧

Wow what a series!

I enjoyed Term One so was excited to listen to Term Two, I think I enjoyed this more than the first. Maeve annoyed me in the first book but I got to like her character in this one. The storyline was gripping, It was fast-paced, the RH part is still slow burn, which in reality we are only on term two so makes total sense. I’m eager to listen or read the next term now. 🎧 AudiobookObessionReviewer
