We thought we'd play a fun prank on her, and now most of us are dead.

One last laugh for the summer as it winds down. One last prank just to scare a friend. Bringing a mannequin into a theater is just some harmless fun, right? Until it wakes up. Until is starts killing.

Luckily, Sawyer has a plan. He'll be a hero. He'll save everyone to the best of his ability. He'll kill as many people as he needs to so he can save the day. That's the thing about heroes - sometimes you have to become a monster first.

The story was well told and kept me interested from start to finish. However, I feel as though there could have been more to the story.

Horror, not my type of story. Similar to a Stephen King story, but not as well done. Loved the narration though.

Great narration

This story unsettled me a little, but I guess that’s the point. It’s not the horror that unsettled me, it’s what happens to the children. So, if kids getting killed is a trigger for you, then I’d skip this one. The concept itself was unique. And this is the best Novella I’ve ever read that portrayed madness so perfectly.

Whatever you think this is, it’s not it.

Ambiguous and haunting. Everything a short story should be. A story about a coming of age, in the same vein as It by Stephen King.

A fantastic short story
