Exceptional story!

Mason and Tyler take Lacey under their arms when Lacey's brother is murdered. She proves to have more spunk, will power and bravery than even she ever imagined. This only manages to spark Mason and Tyler to take her further into their wild (sexy and hot as hell) sex lives. She takes everything they have to offer before taking them one step further. The story will grab you from the first page to the last. Their little one as they call her proved to be more than they had ever dreamed of. I've never liked Spaghettios, but may have to reconsider my opinion now! All I can say is that to be Lacey would be what heaven on earth must be like .
There are twists and turns in the story that will have you holding your breath and sex scenes that will leave you panting.

Gregory Salinas is terrific. I absolutely love the voices he uses and the wide range of emotions while listening takes you right into the book.

Loved it

Okay let's start with the good. The book was steamy and kept you guessing with the "who did it" part of the book. A+ with the story and narration. I really enjoyed the steamy, STEAMY, sex scenes MM, MF, & MMF. The book had me looking for the cabin log with a underground cavern with a secret natural hot spring. I haven't found it yet. A little childhood trauma throwed in for good measure. I think the only issue I have is such a small one. The whole the heroine having to be "virtuous" while the guys can be all kinds of sluts is a little tired. Especially when they have sexual encounters that would make experienced hookers blush. But that's my only compliant, other than that it was a great read.

Two to protect.. 1 to keep safe.

Yes, it is nice to relax and listen to the story unfolding. The different voices were easy to follow.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Night Is Darkest?

When you find out who the bad guy is why everything has happened up to this point. The story was very well developed.

It made me cry and laugh sometimes at the same time. Jayne takes you into the story.

I highly recommend this story. One on my favorites of Jaynes.

Good writing, thin plot

I thought this book had lots of potential but the plot had some reality problems. I liked Lacey, the main female character a lot, who was smart, funny and strong. However, when her brother is murdered, the plot has her getting romantically involved with 2 her brother's childhood friends within days of the funeral. So not happening!!! Next, the 2 friends Mason & Tyler (2 sexy cops who secretly bisexual), spend more time trying to get Lacey in bed than investigating the murder of a fellow cop. Again, not happening. All the characters were interesting and believable; the story just need a reality check. Excellent narrator!

Super hot

This was not what I had expected, it was hot but had a decent story line. I would have liked a little more in the epilogue.

The narrator did a good job his voice was very sexy to me!

Sexy and Suspenseful!

I love Jayne Rylon's stories and this one was no exception. The storyline was great and the suspense had me guessing until almost the end. The sex was hot! Gregory Salinas did a great job with the narration.

Pretty good start to the series :)

This was a pretty good story. I liked Lacey, Tyler and Mason and their story was interesting with a lot of sex.

Lacey is a nurse and a nice woman. She was living with her brother who was a police officer, as they were very close since their parents died years before. When Lacey finds out about her brother's death she doesn't take it well. She's been in love with his 2 BFFs, Mason and Tyler, since they were all kids but they've never responded to any of her attempts to be with them.

Mason and Tyler grew up together and have always been close. They also have had a tendency to share women ever since they first started noticing women. They've been attracted to Lacey since she was way too young for that type of attention but stayed away from her when she got older. Partially this was because her brother warned them off and partially because Mason had to convince himself it was alright. Mason and Tyler developed a m/m relationship over the years but have kept it strictly under wraps because Mason's afraid of the backlash their relationship might unleash.

The story begins with Lacey finding out about her brother dying and going through the funeral. She's kind of out of it and feeling very alone even with Mason and tyler there for her. After the funeral she needs some comfort and tried to get the men to be with her. They don't want to because they're sure she'll regret it later and then they'd lose her friendship as well. Lacey on the other hand, wants them both badly and is so steeped in loss that she can't stand for Tyler and Mason to leave her. Things get a bit messed up because Mason is convinced that Lacey can't deal with him and Tyler being in a m/m thing together and also they tend to like BDSM play and they think it's too rough for Lacey. He doesn't believe they can make a true threesome relationship work and so is determined not even to try. This causes some drama for the three and Lacey is put through more emotional pain by all the crap before things get worked out. Eventually, Tyler and Lacey get Mason onboard but there's some definite drama before the three are solidly together.

While Lacey, Tyler and Mason are trying to work out their relationship some unusual things happen that make them think that something about Lacey's brother's death wasn't as they thought it should be. There seems to be a possibility of something more going on and they need to find out what it is. Especially when whoever is causing the issues seems to be out to hurt Lacey. The men investigate and they have sex. A bit more investigating and more sex, and more sex, and more sex... To be honest, I liked the sex scenes, they were hot, but there were times when the story got so much into the sex that I forgot what the heck was happening in the action plot by the time we got back to it. But, during the many sex scenes we also get to see some growth in the threesome's relationship and enjoy them getting closer and working out some of their personal issues. I actually thought that the action plot was very good but just was overshadowed at times by the romance (sex) plot. There's some drama and unexpected danger to be dealt with before the end but the threesome manage to get through things alright and come together to start on their HEA.

This was a very enjoyable story. Lacey, Mason and Tyler were all likable characters. I got a bit frustrated with Mason's issues but I guess they were needed for the story and I'm glad they weren't drug out through the whole story. I thought the action plot was well done but overshadowed by the romance plot at some points. Overall, I thought the story was pretty good and I'll probably read more in the series down the road. I'd recommend this story. :D

The underlying story was a good one so more of the book should have focused on it rather than the very sizzling sex scenes (and I demand that sizzle in my romances). The book was long enough to develop deeper characters and a more intricate plot. All in all, it kept my interest. I'd read another from this author.
